18.01.2022 Less then 2 weeks to Ironman New Zealand Perfect weather for my last big training weekend. Including an open water swim, trail run and long ride! Time to taper - rest, recover and freshen up the body for race day. Beyond excited for my first Ironman in 2 years

10.01.2022 Get the basics right!!! 1. Well balanced natural wholefood diet. 2. Daily exercise and movement. 3. Min 7-8 hours sleep each night. 4. Low stress life.... Incorporating these core essentials into your life will ensure a healthier mind and body. The list of other ‘health products’ is endless. Ketone drinks, protein shakes, kombucha, infused tea, fasting, activated charcoal, multi vitamins, fish oil tablets, cleansing and detox shakes. Some of these products have their place and can provide health benefits, others are just hype and good marketing! If you’re drinking alcohol more than once or twice a week you’re exposing your body to so much harm. A shot of kombucha a day will not reverse the damaging effects. If you are not eating 5+ serves of vegetables per day, the products listed above won’t go near replacing the health benefits from vegetables. Eating processed, unnatural, genetically modified or fast food won’t allow your body to naturally detox. A chemical detox powder drink created in a lab won’t work either! You can survive on 4-6 hours sleep per night, but you can’t thrive and be truly healthy. I totally understand the hope and belief we can have regarding these other ‘health products’. 05.01.2022 Can you believe it’s mid March already? Is this the year you promised to improve your health and fitness? The year will be over before we know it, but there is still plenty of time to start and make a change!! Break down those barriers, limiting beliefs and stop with the excuses. Make it a higher priority and find the time!! ... At 42 I’m better now then I have been in decades.
