25.01.2022 The magic and mystery of the forest and its trees always amazes me. Always reminds me that beauty is everywhere. Reminds me to appreciate the simplest yet most profound expressions of life. And that I am always guided and protected.
24.01.2022 Ive just finished a mid afternoon yoga and meditation session. Taking this precious opportunity while Willow is napping. Compared to my state of being beforehand; sluggish and tired, I now feel refreshed, cleansed, present and am buzzing with positive energy and gratitude for these beautiful practices. I feel myself!... This is really what yoga and meditation give me... they reconnect me back to my true self. My true self which exists beneath all the doing. By connecting with myself and can now continue with the day and its doings from this place of connection. I am running a retreat for women in the Yarra Valley, specifically for this purpose. To NURTURE and CONNECT. 2nd-4th August. Please follow this link for more info and to book your place... www.ubuntuwellness.com.au/mindfulness-retreats

21.01.2022 What has Mindfulness and Meditation given me? How has it changed my life? Am I completely zen 24 hours of the day? Hell no! ... I have my moments of stress, crankiness and overwhelm. BUT, I am able to notice this when it occurs, find space from the auto pilot and sink into a space that has more calm, peace, patience, acceptance and ease. AND, I am becoming more and more familiar with this space and it is becoming more accessible to me when I need it. Does my mind wander? Of course! Being mindful does not mean that we become robots. Even the Dalai Lama assures that his mind wanders frequently. Mindfulness teaches us to notice when our mind has wandered and purposefully and gently guide it back to what we want and CHOOSE to attend to in that moment. Do I get angry or upset? Sometimes, but less and less. There is less of a sink into a negative spiral that feels all consuming. This does not mean I don't have emotions, nor get emotional. I am still a very emotional human being. BUT I am able to recognise these feelings when they arise, again, give them space and with curiosity and kindness, attend to what I really need in that moment. Often this is to soften and soothe myself with my breath and with an inner kindness to myself. Am I self critical? Occasionally, BUT, again, less and less. I am more familiar with a more compassionate way of speaking and responding to myself. I feel so much happier, freer and lighter when I can respond to myself in this way. Do I still lose my car keys? Frequently, but less frequently than I used to. I'm still working on this one :) AND, more importantly... I am kinder to myself I am more forgiving of myself I am more accepting of myself Practicing Mindfulness and Self Compassion is not a destination, it is a process. There is no real outcome to strive towards, but moment to moment experiences that we allow ourselves to have using qualities of openness, curiosity, friendliness, acceptance and kindness. I love sharing these practices with people, because I know how much of a difference it makes. It doesn't fix us, it just helps us embrace more fully who we are and helps guide us towards living how we want to live. I would be honoured to share these experiences with you in my upcoming 8 week immersion of Mindfulness and Self Compassion; Mindful Being, commencing on Thursday 21st Feb. Please see the below link to learn more or book your place. Please also get in touch if you have any questions or want to chat about this offering. From one human to another... https://www.facebook.com/events/526568974524722/

19.01.2022 The Early Bird Special for this retreat closes on Sunday evening. If you are tossing up whether to come, please let me know if there are any questions you have, or any information I can offer to help make your decision a little easier. Having been on two retreats this year; both a weekend retreat at this same property in Westburn, and, recently a 7 day silent retreat in Byron Bay, I can attest to the power and incredibly benefit of taking time out for retreat. Free from the p...ressures to cook, clean, work, meet responsibilities, meet expectations, get from A to B... All of the daily tasks, which, on their own, seem small, but when there is no break or pause... take a toll on your nervous system and can mean that there is sometimes very little time, energy or space to turn inwards and ask, "How am I doing?", "What am I needing right now?" "What am I feeling drawn to?" This is what this retreat is all about. An offering, I feel very passionate about... to provide a space for women to just be in whatever way you want and be supported through practices to guide you inwards. To Nurture and Connect. Please share with anyone who may be interested. With Kindness, Anna x

17.01.2022 Trust the energy that courses through you. Trust, then take surrender even deeper. Be the energy. Dont push anything away. Follow each sensation back to its source. In vastness and pure presence - Dana Folds Last night's meditation session was on the them of the Body. This quote is such a beautiful description of how we can bring those qualities of openness and care to our body's sensations and experiences in a way that can ground us, and connect us more fully to the liv...ed experience of each moment. Feel free to listen to a recording of this meditation titled "Body" via soundcloud. https://soundcloud.com/user-472420208/body
17.01.2022 Dear Friends, We're all feeling it. While it's so important for us to stay informed and respond appropriately and responsibly to protect ourselves, our loved ones and our community, we also really need to take care of our mental and emotional health. Our immune system also needs us to stay calm.... I'm hoping to record and share a series of short Mindfulness Meditations specifically for this purpose. But, until then, I would love to share some meditations I have already recorded for you to listen to via my Sound Cloud account. You can access them here ... https://soundcloud.com/user-472420208 And some other suggestions to support you through this time... - Stop and engage with your five senses throughout the day. What you see, hear, smell, feel and taste. Really embody the present moment as a way of shifting out of fight/flight mode and into a calmer state of presence. - Frequently throughout the day stop and feel your feet against the ground. Bring presence and interest to this feeling. Then bring the same attention to sensations in your hands; tingling, vibration, warmth, coolness, whatever you feel. Then notice your breath. Feeling the in breath and out breath for around 10 breaths. Connecting with your body and breath helps shift from the auto pilot of thinking and worrying and supports the nervous system to find a state of equilibrium - Get out into nature (if it is possible to do so) and take some deep full breaths of fresh air - Practice gratitude daily. Allow yourself to feel the warmth and positivity of gratitude. Gratitude helps calm and soothe our nervous system. I hope to share more in the coming days. With love xxx
16.01.2022 What I love so much about doing what I do is that I get to share with others, the practices and tools, which support me and guide me on this journey of life. The simple practice of stopping and tuning into my breath as a way to ground me and connect me back to the moment. The capacity to experience life beyond the veil of my thoughts and experience the richness of fullness of what is actually happening as it is happening.... The ability to not get lost in my critical, or worrying or super analytical mind and remember to lighten up a bit and find space beyond these reactions. The remembrance that taking time in nature is a guaranteed way for me to feel at peace, to connect back to myself and to see the bigger picture. Being able to share these practices and more through my Mindfulness, Meditation, Yoga and Psychology offerings just brings these practices even more to life. I am so thrilled to be sharing some of these practices over a whole weekend of nurturing and connecting. I would love to invite you to join me and take the necessary time and space to give back to yourself. Please share with anyone who may be interested. With love, Anna xox

09.01.2022 Is there something you are ready to let go of? An old habit? A story which is no longer serving you? A desire to let something new in? In this day long retreat, you will be guided through a process of letting go of the old and cultivating new ways of being with yourself and being in this world that allow you to feel more in tune with your true self, your true nature. Pathways to Wholeness was born out of a shared desire of Liarna Chantelle Conder and myself to create a day f...or people to step away from their daily life and have the space to reflect, connect and create for themselves an experience of wholeness. Wholeness is our true nature. Sometimes we just need to create the space to find our way back. Please share with anyone who may be interested. This is sure to be a really beautiful, soul nurturing day!

08.01.2022 In last night's online community meditation session, I shared this poem by Jane Pujji. This is one of my absolute favourite poems. One I return to again and again as a source of support and reminder of the powerful resources that is always within us; our heart. My Balm... I close my eyes and sigh, and here I am Lying in the hammock in my heart moving gently with the soft air of my breath When I fall from my head past my words I'm caught lovingly by the hammock of my heart and rocked to its rhythmic beat It is my peace, my rest, my quiet cradled in the hammock of my heart It is constant, it is safe to be held in the hammock of my heart No place to go Nothing to do Nobody to please It is my altar, my blessing, my balm here in the hammock of my heart - Jane Pujji. If you would like to join these weekly sessions, they are a free offering and open to all. Please see the zoom link included in the event page. https://www.facebook.com/events/206139837309129/?acontext=%7B%22source%22%3A5%2C%22action_history%22%3A[%7B%22surface%22%3A%22page%22%2C%22mechanism%22%3A%22main_list%22%2C%22extra_data%22%3A%22%5C%22[]%5C%22%22%7D]%2C%22has_source%22%3Atrue%7D
08.01.2022 These days, I consider taking time out for myself as a necessity, not an indulgence. As a mother, it can be so easy for us to put my own needs for rest, self care and connection to the side, in favour of the needs of my daughter, or others. Is this pattern familiar? It makes sense. We love our families, or our work, or our friends, or whatever other commitments we have, so why wouldn't we prioritise their needs?... But was is the cost of never taking this time out? Fatigue, general irritability, feeling like we're living through groundhog day? Maybe our lack of time to nurture and connect with ourselves even escalates to never really feeling like we stop. Our minds and bodies feel constantly busy and it can be hard to actually enjoy and savour life and the special people in it. We may even experience burnout. I see weekends like this as an essential act of kindness and wisdom to really care for ourselves in the way we need. It's not selfish... it helps unravel some of those layers of stress and exhaustion, to feel nurtured and nourished, and to find connection to who we really are. Not only do we benefit. But our children, our families, the people around us receive the ripple effect of our self care. I still have a few places left in my August weekend retreat and would love to invite you to join. All details are included below, including a link to reserve your place. Please get in touch if you have any questions. With Love, Anna x https://www.facebook.com/events/2146801748735498/

02.01.2022 THIS SATURDAY 16TH MARCH, 10AM -4PM IN THE DANDENONG RANGES... Pathways to wholeness is a beautiful day long retreat to support you to remember who you already are. To bring light to the old ways of being which keep you from being your true, most alive, most connected self and create space to get familiar and embrace the wholeness and goodness that is your true nature. I am so excited to collaborate with the soul centred and incredibly human being and friend, Liarna Condor.... We still have a few places left, so make sure to book and share this soul connecting experience with us! https://www.trybooking.com/book/event
01.01.2022 An 8 week immersion that you can take part in the comfort of your own home, or your favourite piece of nature, or wherever suits you really. Take part in the live zoom sessions each Saturday morning, or do the course in your own time at a time that suits you. I have designed this course to be super accessible. The live sessions help us come together as a community and share in our own experiences and learnings and feel supported by each other.... The video and audio recordings allow you to deepen your practice and begin to integrate Mindfulness and Self Compassion in your every day life. Neuroscience shows that the more we practice paying attending in a new way; applying these new attitudes of curiosity, openness, acceptance and kindness, the more we strengthen these neural pathways in our brain. Over time, this new way of being becomes our default and we begin to engage with ourselves, our loved ones and the world with greater clarity, peace and compassion. Sounds pretty good, hey! Join me on this journey and share with anyone who may be interested. With Kindness, Anna Davies
01.01.2022 Tonight's session will be about connecting with an inner quiet. Please follow the zoom link included in the event. A free offering to support through this challenging time. With love, Anna
