07.01.2022 Discovered today: the CCAE Union Mini Arts Festival 1973 - a collection of poetry and short stories. It’s not as slick as First! It’s interesting to see how people dealt with typos in the age of manual typewriters, and there was a surprising amount of content about smoking. This treasure is being moved to our archive of UC publications. #uniCBR

03.01.2022 This early, hand-written version of Waltzing Matilda is just one of the treasures among the recently acquired collection of A. B. ‘Banjo’ Paterson’s personal pa...pers. As well as early drafts of the poems that would go on to become pillars of Australia’s cultural identity, the collection gives us a glimpse into the life of the man who composed them. Now more than ever, the National Library believes in a world where every Australian has free access to the stories of their past. With your support, we can share this remarkable collection with all Australians through Trove. Help us unlock the treasured voices of the past by making a gift to our 2020 Appeal: https://bit.ly/3dWorJB #AustralianDreams #BanjoAppeal2020
