23.01.2022 MISCELLANEOUS DAY - DUST OFF AN OLD HOBBY We challenge you to get back into an old hobby. When our world gets busy or hard we let go of things that seem non-essential, but hobbies can be essential in helping us to relax, to feel connected, and to increase our self-worth. ... However, if it's been a while since you've done your hobby, then there is also the risk of not thinking you can do it anymore. Apparently the 6 stages of picking up an old hobby are: 1. Realizing you miss it 2. Assuming you’re going to be an expert at it 3. Realizing you were wrong about the whole being an expert thing 4. Falling into a temporary slump 5. Getting over your ego 6. Picking it up again and going at your own pace (For more detail check out: https://thoughtcatalog.com//the-6-stages-of-going-back-to/ ) Or if you haven't ever really had a hobby, or would like to start a new one, why not: 1. Transform What You Already Enjoy Into a Hobby 2. Reclaim Your Childhood Interests 3. Take an Assessment 4. Start Trying Things (and See What Sticks) (We got this from: https://www.themuse.com/advice/how-to-find-a-hobby-you-love ) There are many many many local options available for likeminded individuals, like: http://sheppartonartmuseum.com.au/samhub https://www.facebook.com/groups/RiverConnect/ And we know there are heaps more. If you have a local group that people could join then please put it in the comments below! Whether it's fishing, art, hiking, darts, or anything else you can think of, we challenge you to rekindle the joy of it! Maybe not today, but soon. It's waiting for you. #hobbies #healthyminds #feelconnected #relax #selfesteem #doitforyou #lifeischallenging #youdeserveit #ucan Primary Care Connect Shepparton Art Museum RiverConnect - Greater Shepparton
