19.01.2022 Hey everyone! We've just received the following news about the Japan Trip for this year!! Worth a read and I can testify that the trip is AMAZING - definitely worth it! The 'Us' and 'We' in this are reffering to Ann and Milica! Not UCAS. The Faculty Led Program to JAPAN : Architecture and the City 2020 is open for Expressions of Interest.... Our Program timing for 2020 is working around the Tokyo Olympics intensities in June July August and we now have confirmation that the New Columbo Grants that are supporting the UG group can be extended to the end of the year . This enables the program to take place in late November after semester 2 and the FADX Grad exhibition. We are looking to leave the week of the 27 November and return approx. 3+ weeks later in December. This means that UG and PG will still enrol in to the applicable WIT units as we need to carry out the first classes of teaching/ reading/research/ comparative analysis etc with assessment and then we undertake the travel and final assessment after the end of semester2 . We will be able to place a grading for the unit in December (probably converting a WH ) to enable those completing the degree to be processed for graduation. The HECS fee help for Asia bound study programs is available to cover most of the cost of the program if you have completed 24 cr pts and satisfy eligibility. In addition UG will be supported by a New Colombo Grant and PG will be supported by a Faculty scholarship - to offset some of the cost and airfare. There are 10+ UG places and 10 PG places both based on application once the Study Abroad and Faculty Flyer is available for the Program. We will clarify further detail soon once we have the CIS Australia program costing finalised. 17.01.2022 Hey all! Just popping in to share more news about a Study Abroad opportunity with you! Architecture in the Garden City: Singapore... Date: 6-20 July 2020 This 2 week intensive course has the intention of exploring the interface between public and private space within the context of a Garden City, Singapore! (For those who don't know, Canberra was also designed off the theory of Garden Cities so this will be helpful in our own context also). It's a collaborative trip between the UC and the National University if Singapore. The deadline for applications are the 21st of February, so don't dawdle or you'll miss this amazing opportunity! 13.01.2022 Hi everyone! Hope you’re all enjoying your break from uni. The studio (7B) is being refurbished. Part of this involves throwing out the old lockers and the instillation of new ones. Naturally we’d hate for possessions or valuables to get throw out, so you have until the 7th of January to clear out your lockers and kindly return your keys. ... After that unfortunately there’ll be little we can do to stop the old lockers and their contents being thrown out. There’s still plenty of time but the sooner the better!

05.01.2022 http://Architecture Library Due to an exceptionally kind donation of books from UC alumni Ryan Theodore, UCAS has decided to set up our very own architecture library in studio. This library is filled with fantastic material, ranging from ancient to modern architecture, landscape architecture and ecology, and interior architecture.... If you know anyone who has old or unwanted architecture books and magazines, ask them to consider donating those books to UCAS so we can increase the size of our library.

03.01.2022 http://UCAS 2021 Lots of announcements today to mark the beginning of O-Week at UC. The FAD morning tea has been postponed to week 2. For more details, see the UC FAD instagram page.... UC market day is also on Tuesday, starting at 1100. UCAS, alongside SONA and Landscape Architecture will have a stall where you can meet us, sign up for memberships and learn a bit about your degree. Memberships for UCAS 2021 are now open. It is $25 for a semester, and $40 for a year. The membership gets you reduced rates for the printer and events. We hope to see you tomorrow!
