25.01.2022 30 minutes and counting,... today were continuing our series on Reframing Our Life, and specifically, were going to be talking about Rethinking the Box. Looking forward to seeing you there!

24.01.2022 Hi everyone. Tomorrow (Sun 28th) we will continue with our new video series called "Why?" This great series answers many of the hard questions, such as "If God is all powerful, why is there suffering in the world?" Dont miss it!... Cheers, Chappy

22.01.2022 Good evening everyone. Our second last video in the "Why" series will be rolling tomorrow, Sunday (23rd) at St Andrews. This particular video will address the question: "If God is so loving, why does He allow suffering?"... I look forward to seeing you there. Cheers, Chappy

22.01.2022 From 1 Corinthians 15:12-20: "12 But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15 More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he di...d not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. 20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep." If we are to flip Pauls thinking here from a negative framing to a positive framing (which is the intent of Pauls thought anyway), we are brought face to face with the gifts and power of the resurrection in our own lives. - Because Christ has been raised, then we are NOT still in our sins. The foundation for every other blessing from God is that God wont hold our sins against us. God validated our forgiveness through Christs resurrection. - Because Christ has been raised, our faith is NOT in vain. Because of the resurrection of Jesus there is someone we can trust absolutely. Our trust in him is validated by the resurrection. - Because Christ has been raised, the apostles witness about the work of God is validated. We are NOT deceived. We can trust in their witness and their testimony about Jesus. - Because Christ has been raised, the dead in Christ have NOT perished. Our lives will not forever end in death. Jesus was the first of many who will rise from their graves, when he comes again. - Because Christ has been raised, we are NOT to be pitied. Our lives are validated by the resurrection. Our lives are not in vain; they are full, meaningful, valid, valuable, and significant. Jesus, through his resurrection, is Gods "Amen": to the forgiveness and reconciliation offered to the entire world; to the utter defeat of death; and to the hope we have in the restoration of all things. He is risen!

22.01.2022 Hi everyone. Full communion service tomorrow. Hope to see you there. Blessings, Chappy.

21.01.2022 Hey everyone; tomorrow, we will be having a service (bible study) at the usual time (9 am). We will be continuing in our study of Genesis. Well be taking an in-depth look at Genesis 2. Should be an interesting time!... Cheers, Chappy

21.01.2022 Just a reminder that there will be no service tomorrow morning, Sunday 11th of September. Our friends at the Anglican and Catholic churches may be running a service tomorrow. Next Sunday (18th) we will continue with our video series called "Why?" from RZIM. This fantastic series answers many of the hard questions, such as "If God is all powerful, why is there suffering in the world?" Hope you can make it.... Cheers, Chappy

21.01.2022 "The devil made me do it!" Satan is caricatured in popular culture and most people don't believe that he really exists. However he is real, he is our enemy, and he is dangerous! Our study into Genesis 3 today started well. We may have only covered four verses, however given the density of information revealed in this chapter that should not surprise us. In our next study (in a fortnight) we'll explore the concept of human responsibility in regards to explaining why the wor...ld is the way it is today. Next week we'll have a full communion service. See you then!

20.01.2022 From the wilderness in the south, to the Gates of Hell in the far north (between Syria and Lebanon); today we traversed the length of Israel on a journey that followed in the footsteps of Yeshua Ha Mashiach, Jesus the Anointed One (Messiah). As Christians we recognise (spiritually speaking) that we live in the wilderness, and that we will not leave it (crossing the Jordan in a metaphorical sense) until we leave this world behind. But this is OK; it is in the wilderness that ...God is preparing us as a people (just as he did for the children of Israel). Travelling far north to Caesarea Philippi, Yeshua asked the question, "but who do you say that I am?" We must all give an answer to that question, and for those who recognise the Christ of God, the gates of hell are laid waste. Journeying south to Gethsemane we are faced with the same choice that Yeshua was,... are we prepared to surrender our freedom in order to complete the work of God ordained for us? And finally, arriving at Galicantu (Latin for "the cock crows"), are we able to recognise, as Peter did, that our lives are filled daily with denials of the One we claim as Lord. And if we do, do we also recognise, as Peter did, the grace we have been given to move on from that point and declare, "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God."

20.01.2022 Good morning everyone. Well be playing our last video in the "Why" series tomorrow, Sunday (30th) at St Andrews. This particular video is a Q&A, seeking to answer a whole raft of questions which arose from the earlier sessions.... Hope you can make it. Cheers, Chappy

20.01.2022 Great Bible study today! Some passages in Genesis 2, such as the narrative around Eves creation, can be a little confronting and challenging, particularly in light of some regrettable church history where these passages have been used as an instrument to oppress women. Such things are not from God and in fact represent the very antithesis of what the text presents.... I really like Matthew Henrys commentary on Eves creation. Its beautiful and represents the text well: "[She] was not made out of his head to rule over him, nor out of his feet to be trampled upon by him, but out of his side to be equal with him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be beloved."

However, we will take a break from our study of Genesis 3 tomorrow and instead we will have the pleasure of watching a series of beautifully filmed and narrated videos on key parts of the land of the Bible, and in particular segments focused on the life and passion narrative of Jesus. In this season of Lent, being able to see where our Saviour walked can help us appreciate the setting for the grea...test event in human history: the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Christ.
