21.01.2022 CFI - Cycle Fest International would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to each and every Sponsor, Competitor, supporter, Volunteer, Board of Directors and Spectators alike. Your support of our event over the recent years has been extremely important and valued. Over the recent months since CFI in February the current lay of the land within the world has changed dramatically. Covid 19 was just in its infancy leading into our event in February this year, the way... this virus has gripped the world and affected the way the world currently operates is something no-one truly would have expected in the early days. Recently CFI board met, our Committee has watched, waited and taken all the advice across the months from all levels of our sport and government. It is now with the heaviest of hearts we make this announcement The Board of Directors have been entrusted to deliver CFI within the Bundaberg Region. Our focus has and always will be to present and deliver the finest top Quailty Cycling and Multi Sports event in our region. CFI - Cycle Fest International scheduled for 2021 is now Officially been placed on hold until further notice. We have had to take into account all the relevant and sensitive information and advice we have received, including and not limited to closures of International Travel along with restrictions on Intra-State travel possibly being extended into 2021. Our obligations to meet all relevant UCI Regulations / Requirements have impacted heavily on our decision, along with our responsibility to our stakeholders. There are many mitigating circumstances that have formed part of our decision making process here. We have not and do not make this decision lightly. We value the input and commitment to us that our stakeholders have done and continue to do so. This is paramount to the long term growth and sustainability for CFI. Our love, care and vision for CFI is and always will remain a paramount factor in hosting this event into the future and our planning, thoughts and vision have not changed for 2022. We are currently exhausting ways to maintain the CFI presence within 2021, with a number of other opportunities currently being researched and due diligence being conducted. We dont wish to lose anyones support along the way, this is why we have decided to provide you with this real time update on where we currently sit. We will continue to have constant and open dialog with the UCI, Cycling Australia, state and territories along with the Athletes and move towards an outcome thats viable for all parties. With this said, it is an extremely tough, sad and emotional moment, a massive thank you to everyone involved, and for everyones support. Regards CFI BOARD OF DIRECTORS

13.01.2022 CFI Cycle Fest International are so excited and proud to see CFI regular Corbin Strong become World Champion over night. Corbin Strong has claimed the coveted rainbow jersey with points race victory at the UCI TRACK CYCLING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS ... A Southland teenager, Corbin in his first year at the elite world championship, has won the Points race at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Berlin. The Vantage Windows & Doors elite rider, who led for much of the 40km event, cemented the title when he went in a three-strong break in the final laps to claim a bonus 20 points and cement his rainbow jersey title. It is the first time a male New Zealand rider has won a Points race world championship. The only other podium was when fellow Southlander Tom Scully won a silver medal at Cali in 2014. Its Crobins second medal of the championship, after winning the silver medal in the Vantage New Zealand mens team pursuit yesterday. Corbin is a regular visitor and supporter of CFI and the former Bundaberg Cycling Spectacular. He was part of the Team Takalvans Madison winning Champions in 2019 with partner Jarred Tremaine. On behalf of our entire town and board at CFI, we congratulate Corbin, we all recognize the amount of hard work thats gone into this result for himself and his nation, he is a true testament to both his focus and strength as well as his commitment to the sport. We look forward to seeing Corbin and his rainbows return to the UCI Cycle Fest International in 2021. Outstanding result
