25.01.2022 As a result of the COVID-19 restrictions advised by the State Government yesterday, U City is currently closed to the general public. The U City Function Centre will be closed until restrictions ease, but a number of essential services remain operating within the building. Our Accessible Serviced Apartments are not accepting new reservations for the lockdown period, but current guests are permitted to remain for the duration of their stay. We have concierge staff on site 24/7... to assist with these requirements. A number of essential services are also continuing to run from our Uniting Communities social services hub, including Lifeline Adelaide, the SA COVID-19 Mental Health Support Line and the Clean Needle Program. We will provide updates as they arise over the coming week. We hope everyone stays safe during this challenging time and look forward to welcoming you back to U City when it is safe and appropriate to do so.
24.01.2022 Were hearing more and more about COVID-19, commonly known as the Coronavirus. We are proactively monitoring the situation and introducing measures to best support the safety and wellbeing of our clients, staff and the communities in which we work. To do so, we will work to minimise exposure of the community, whilst allowing our services to continue wherever possible. Importantly, in times like this it is critical to band together, keeping kindness, cooperation and community at the front of our minds. Please look out for one another, particularly those who may be vulnerable.

21.01.2022 An interesting article explaining Specialist Disability Accommodation funding under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The program is set up to provide funding to a small minority of NDIS participants (about 6%) and is reserved for those with very high support needs who meet specific eligibility requirements. Our private and completely accessible U City Platinum Apartments are available as part of this program, featuring home automation technology, open plan l...iving, a balcony, and customisable kitchens and bathrooms. Register your interest by contacting 1800 247 365 or visit www.ucity.com.au for more information. https://thewest.com.au//a-chance-to-live-independently-c-1
21.01.2022 SURPRISE Today our U City community celebrated a very special occasion - retirement resident, Judy's 75th birthday! Lovingly coordinated by her husband, Tony, more than 20 residents joined an online Zoom party, and enjoyed a three-course meal and wine delivered to their doors by Luigi Delicatessen. A keen Port Adelaide Football Club supporter, Judy was also delighted to receive a hand-delivered birthday cake by the one and only Gavin Wanganeen!... What a great display of communities coming together and connecting in fun and innovative ways. This is truly what life at U City is all about. A big thanks to all involved - it was a pleasure to be involved in such a special day.

17.01.2022 In Celebration of NAIDOC week, we thought we’d take a look at some of the wonderful Aboriginal artwork that is displayed throughout our public spaces. Haylee incorporated specific design elements and colours to tell this story and represent our va...lues in a unique and symbolic way. You can see Haylee's artwork in our level 3 Inbari Ku Community Space, it is open to the public during business hours.
