14.01.2022 Life as a Eyelash technician (Covid 19 edition) As a lash artist we have close contact with our clients. Both physically and emotionally. While this may seem like a vain thing to many, it’s like any beauty service. It makes you feel good about yourself. It makes you feel special. After getting lashes you feel confident; as though you are wearing an invisible and invincible crown. As a lash artist, I also become a therapist and many times, I am getting the therapy as well. W...e divulge our lives- hurts, successes, aggravations, hopes, goals, and dreams. As a lash artist, I’ve helped many women work through difficult situations with children, spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends ... I’ve also been helped through many of my own situations. As a lash artist, I realize I’m non essential. That is why I’m so very grateful to my clients that support me and continue services. While some may consider it vain - please also consider that we think of it as therapy. Two hours every two weeks that makes us all stop for a moment, rest, relax, work out our minds issues ... and know we took two hours every two weeks for self care.
