19.01.2022 UDAL is excited to announce the launch of an innovative new series- Brisbane Conversations! Brisbane Conversation is a series of free public forums hosted by the Urban Design Alliance. Its purpose is to examine a range of global challenges that are impacting on cities in Australia and around the world in an engaging and informative format. Various topics will be explored in a series of interviews with invited speakers, followed by a discussion with an expert panel. These val...uable conversations will be recorded and published through the UDAL website. A book, Brisbane Conversations, is planned for publication, comprising the first twelve conversations. Stay tuned for details about our first event- Australian Urbanism: making great cities on Monday evening , 24 September.

01.01.2022 A big thankyou to all who came out last Wednesday night at QUT for the Big Thinking on living and Working Small forum. Some great thinking and work was on display from Peter Richards and the QUT Small House Urbanism Studio, followed up by Amy Degenhart, Degenhart Shedd and Scott Hastings, Hutchinson Builders with some current small lot and terrace housing project insights.Thanks also to Cathyrn Chatburn for doing a great job moderating the night! Let hope this sees some more discussion and insights on doing more small lot, high quality and innovative housing in the South East!
