23.01.2022 Thank you to City of Armadale for sharing some amazing content last week for what was originally meant to be NAIDOC Week 2020 (5 July - 12 July). The National NAIDOC Committee decided to postpone NAIDOC Week 2020 to 8 November - 15 November for the safety of our communities, however, some local governments choose to commemorate the week in multiple different, community-safe ways. We thoroughly enjoyed consuming the culture that some local governments continued to share over ...the course of the last week are looking forward to the National NAIDOC Committee's and other organisations' plans for NAIDOC week in November. For now we recommend you check out what your local government has been doing over the last week, or at the very least, enjoy the voice of Rubi Joelle below! #culture #community

22.01.2022 The 2016 census showed there were a staggering 116,000 homeless people in Australia, a 15 per cent increase in the number of homeless Australians since the 2011 census and Hames Sharley Urban Designer Hayley Edwards says this is no longer a situation we can ignore. Check out this really interesting blog post where Hayley shows that it is time for Australia to follow the footsteps of countries such as France, Finland and Greece, to determine how we can implement urban planning tools to help alleviate homelessness.
