25.01.2022 It's not every day that we undertake the installation of screw piles as part of an HDD project. However, when the ground conditions changed, our team was able to adapt and develop a turnkey solution for our client. After extensive geotechnical investigations, we were able to successfully install screw piles to bedrock at a depth of 25 metres and utilise a 55 tonne crane to install a precast leak detection pit with all the associated fittings and pipework.

24.01.2022 Work has begun on a 7,000 metre installation of communications conduit, including pits, through a bushfire damaged region, on the South Coast of NSW. We're utilising our Ditch Witch AT40 and AT3020 drill rigs.

24.01.2022 UEA has been awarded four underbores as part of a major electrical upgrade project in Lane Cove. The first two underbores have 40 metres of elevation rise over 177 metres, which will be completed on this tricky site with one of our D100 HDD rigs. This unique project calls for the installation of a total of seventeen electrical and communication conduits in each borehole. Due to the limited site constraints, custom made conduits were especially made for the project with a tower crane utilised to relocate around the site.

21.01.2022 After the successful completion of two underbores across an active water canal and creek with our D300 HDD rig, our crews have mobilised an AT3020 HDD rig to complete another underbore as part of the recycled water pipeline in West Hoxton. As part of this underbore, we had to navigate across obstacles that included two high pressure gas pipelines, a stormwater channel and an existing sewer pipeline. Great work to the crew who have the ability to work on both small and large HDD rigs without missing a beat.

04.01.2022 After the successful completion of four HDD’s across the Clyde River (part of the Batemans Marine Park) earlier this year, our crew has recently returned to site to complete additional works for our client. This portion of works provided the missing link between the river crossings and the upcoming water and sewer network expansion project. In addition to the 2,320 metres of conduit/pipe installed across the river via HDD, UEA constructed a concrete leak detection pit, thrust blocks and gate valves on both pipelines to provide a turnkey package. 02.01.2022 After the successful completion of a number of submarine cable projects across Australia, UEA has been awarded another ocean outfall project in Perth, Western Australia. This portion of works provides the critical link for the new international subsea cable system identified as the Oman Australia Cable (OAC) that will directly connect Muscat, Oman to Perth, Australia. The cable system will provide a new route for communications traffic between Australia and Western Asia, significantly improving connectivity and strengthening links into fast-growing markets. https://www.uea.com.au//city-beach-ocean-outfall-project-/
