17.01.2022 Congratulations Bud ()-"Martial Way". Stepping into a dojo is the toughest decision a student goes through. The "Why?" Is different for everyone, but the equality, treatment and training should be done the same. Yes we all learn at a different pace, but within time we all get there, so I hope. As a sensei our desire is for all students to succeed and be successful in whatever they do. We all fall, but we keep on getting up, that is the moto to our journey in life. Strong character comes from hard work and determination. Do it for yourself and not to please others as this is true character. Congratulations to all my students for grading and for your new achievements. You all preformed tremendously. Yudansha remember this is only the beginning of a wonderful journey of budo, the "Martial Way".

This student goes through Blood, Sweat and Tear in the dojo and keeps asking for more. What to do? This individual is ready and has been ready for some time, but the right time needs to present itself. Without further ado, Rachel senpai, it is with great pride and respect that I, along with Hanshi David and sensei Lucy's endorsement, promote you to shodan. 14.01.2022 Today some of us from UGRK attended the IBF (International Budo Federation) Fight for Life training day. An interesting mix of different martial arts with sessions led by passionate instructors. Fun day had by all. Thanks to Shihan Kym Reid for organising the event. Osu.

13.01.2022 Training at the dojo once a week may get you up to green belt. Training at the dojo twice a week may get you up to brown belt. Training at the dojo three times a week minimum will probably get you to black belt. Which do you want?

12.01.2022 Uechi-Go-Ryu had a strong presence today, with 3 dragonflies and 8 students from the standard class competing, and some also / or judging, officiating, assisting competitors and / or cheering on their dojo! Courtney Senpai was a superb and consistent head table official throughout the day. We all know all of us are winners for going along and making our presence felt but here are the results for those interested: Elijah - Silver (flag sparring).... Aqeela - Gold (flag sparring). 01.01.2022 Uechi-go-ryu Karate Australia registered with Okinawa for the 100 Kobudo kata challenge and we performed Nanchaku Kata Dai Ichi on March 30th just a day before Okinawa, we did it in under 1 hour which was a brilliant effort by us. Osu!
