23.01.2022 What an awesome display!! We just finished our FIRST EVER Level 1 Gradings on 30th June and 7th July and I am so impressed with all of you!! Congratulations to our new Level 1 students! Your attention, concentration, effort and ability was outstanding You all deserved your result and thank you everyone for giving me your best! I also must say, it was FANTASTIC to see everyone in uniform together Thank you to all the family and friends who came along to show their support... for the students, the day wouldn't have been the same without you! I'm excited to watch you all grow and become better martial artists and the best human beings you can be! The future looks very bright! P.S. for all our new students yet to do their Level 1, your time is quickly getting closer Keep up your great work and it will be grading time before you know it! 23.01.2022 Thank you so much Glenora District School and Mr. Bowden for the opportunity to work with you and your students the last 3 weeks running our Kids/Youth Self Defense and Awareness program! It was a privilege to share our passion, knowledge and experience to help empower your students with the mindset, confidence, courage and techniques to not only look after themselves, but others around them Plus achieve all their dreams and aspirations! 23.01.2022 A peek into our dojo! The kids have been enjoying learning how to use weapons this week, they seem to be loving the bo staff drills! Thank you to everyone for your continued support, your fees have enabled us to buy more equipment for everyone to train with and eventually will allow us to move into a bigger space! 20.01.2022 Today was the first Tasmanian Grading for UGFMA! The bar was set very high! Congratulations to all students who successfully graded today!! You all showed great skill, exceptional attitude and gave me your all. I couldnt ask more than that and I am very proud of all of you Now its time to prepare for your next level. I hope youre all as excited as I am! Keep up the hard work and dedication. ... A big thanks goes to our fellow student Ben Johnson for assisting with the grading today! You were a positive influence on all the students grading and helped things run very smoothly, thank you Another big thank you goes to our fellow student Annie for always being willing to help and support the academy, arriving super early to open up the hall and help make our events happen at the school! 14.01.2022 This week in the adults class we took our self defence one step further and made a start on learning how to take down our attacker. As our students abilities & knowledge grow, the lessons change and grow along side them. Our adult classes are on every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30pm. We’d love to see you there! OSU!

Hope all are well We’re sorry to inform that classes this afternoon/evening are cancelled as Matt is not well today He’s been trying to get some rest to hopefully shake it off and be ready but is still not well... Being so close to grading (which we are all mega excited for!!), there will be a makeup class on Friday for anyone who can make it as a final session before Saturday! This has been many, many years in the making and I'm very proud to introduce our new Hervey Bay school. We are a modern school that has strong foundations in the classical arts which have been adapted to suit today's modern society. What a fantastic year 2019 has been You have all trained so hard and earned a well deserved break I cannot wait to see what 2020 will bring! 04.01.2022 OSU Good morning everyone. Unfortunately classes at public and school venues have to be postponed until further notice However, we have a possible solution!! Please watch this quick video and let me know your thoughts. If youre all happy with this idea and wish to continue your training with others, there will be a minimum safe distance in place between each other with no contact. What does this mean? What can we still do?? Plenty We can do everything except spar...ring, grappling and close quarter self defence. So technique development (blocks, striking, kicks, stances etc.), kata development, fitness drills, meditation and weapons training are still possible with this in place Let me know what all your thoughts are OSU

03.01.2022 We are off to Glenora School today and tomorrow to run our STAR Program for the next 3 weeks. This is a whole school program teaching self defence and anti-bullying strategies to empower our kids to stand up and speak up. We aim for everyone to have fun and at the end of the day, feel like they have the courage to not only stand up for themselves, but for others around them too.
