19.01.2022 DAY 5 MCKINLAY TO ALPHA 582 KMS TOTAL 179 kms sealed roads... 403 kms unsealed roads A huge day of unsealed roads saw the rally leave McKinlay and arrive in Alpha passing by the Combo Waterhole of which the song ‘Waltzing Matilda’ is believed to be based on a real incident that happened there in 1890! The rally also went via Muttaburra, Aramac and Jericho. A delicious dinner was provided by the Alpha School P&C and we camped at the Alpha Jockey Club.
