23.01.2022 We remember the efforts of firefighters, one year ago, when a fire started near Kyogle Rd, Terragon, under conditions of furious NW wind, eventually burning all of Mt Misery and threatening many properties. A large area around Uki came under threat of ember attack on the first afternoon. One house was lost the next day. Almost all Brigades across Tweed, Byron and Ballina attended over the first few days. Considerable firefighting aviation resources were sent, including the NSW RFS 737. To those who answered the call, we thank you. Pictured are photos 15 minutes apart, from residents across the valley.

23.01.2022 Thank you to our community for your continued support. With these funds we have recently purchased power tools and a pressure washer for maintaining our station and vehicles.
