22.01.2022 Im so excited to be kicking off the Musicians in Health program on Monday. Some of you may know that Ive been involved with the Musicians in Hospitals project, where 12 local musicians were trained by local Registered Music Therapist, Bonnie Nilsson, earlier in the year - all set to play live music at the Coffs Harbour Health Campus when COVID hit - so we found ourselves without a place to play. Thanks to Arts Mid North Coast, Mid North Coast Health and an Arts & Cultural Programs Grant from Coffs Harbour City Council we were able to reimagine the project and will now be delivering 3 Zoom sessions a week to Seniors and Carers in the Coffs Harbour LGA. Music is soul medicine! Theres nothing like live music - but Im very grateful for Zoom so we can keep spreading the joy!

16.01.2022 So Saige and I have completed the last Module of the Absolute Beginners Online Ukulele Course - the THEORY MODULE! What an epic journey it has been. I knew it was going to be a challenge - getting everything that I teach face to face with whiteboards and other visuals into a video format - but Im so proud of the results and think it will be a really useful tool that I might use for some of my face to face students as well. And now hes a rock star! Jamming with friends, writing his own songs and doing a bit of self-analysis in the process.
