20.01.2022 Sunday 8th November 2020 Fortnightly Church Services Recommencing Dear Parishioners and friends of our parish With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria from 18th October 2020, we are now allowed to reopen our church to the public. The Parish Council is pleased to advise that on Sunday, 8th November, Father Vasyl Kasyan will be conducting Divine Liturgy in the PARISH OF INTERCESSION OF THE HOLY VIRGIN ESSENDON. ... Service will commence at 10:00am and will also be streamed via our Facebook page and YouTube channel. For those planning to attend on Sunday, this service will be governed by the guidelines set out by the Victorian government regarding the current status towards Covid-19, so attendance will be limited to 10 people in addition to those involved in the church service. For those attending, we ask that you are mindful and observe the following: Only 10 people will be permitted to attend this service Wearing of masks is compulsory. If you are feeling unwell or showing any symptoms, please do not attend Observance of physical distancing the four-square metre rule seats and pews will be marked appropriately Please use hand sanitiser when entering the church. Bottles of hand sanitiser can be found on the table in the church foyer and on Starostar Ihor’s table inside the church Please fill in the attendance register at Starosta Ihor’s table - your name and contact number is required. We ask that you observe no kissing of icons or cross. 03.01.2022 Втамо з Преображенням Господнм! The Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ is celebrated each year on August 19. The feast commemorates the transfiguration or metamorphosis of Christ on Mount Tabor, when our Lord appeared in His divine glory before the Apostles Peter, James, and John. The Transfiguration of Christ is one of the central events recorded in the Gospels. Immediately after the Lord was recognized by His disciples as the Christ,... the Son of the Living God, he told them that He must go up to Jerusalem and suffer many things... and be killed and on the third day be raised. The Saviour of the Apple Feast Day is observed on August 19 and is the most important of the three Saviour (Spas) days. Apple Spas means the arrival of Autumn and the transformation of nature associated with harvesting of ripe fruit, especially apples.
