Paul Wright is a highly respected musician who has performed with many symphony orchestras and ensembles as a director, concertmaster and soloist, including the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble of the Classic Era, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, and the Australian String Quartet. Myroslav Gutej's first solo performance at the age of four on the accordian impacted on his piano studies and led to a successful audition at the music department of Western Australia where he studied performance with Brian Michell, David Bollard and Roger Smalley. During his studies he became intrigued by Eastern European folk music and this glimmers through his piano writing. In 2002 he released a CD of his piano sonatas, a venture into composition reviewed favourably by Peter Burwasser from Fanfare Magazine.
