17.01.2022 Since the beginning of the lockdown I already added 88 new songs to the Ukulele Play Along. Checking all the words, chords and timing. There are easy songs, mor...e difficult songs, songs with nice harmonies, songs you would never think of playing on your ukulele...! All kinds of genres... For me it's a great way to learn songs and play with rhythms. And it's very inspirational to play along with original recordings! 08.01.2022 I hope this helps people who are thinking that they may never learn to play ukulele. So I Wrote a little self help article on how positive self talk really work...s getting you learning faster. Want to get better at ukulele faster? Yes, of course, we all do, but our internal monologue often sabotages our efforts. My teacher always told me 'Talk yourself into the game, not out of the game.' Honestly hands up if when you make a mistake you say something like "I will never do it" or "I can't do it" or "that's impossible". We all do it. But it is this seemingly inconsequential self-talk that is contributing to holding back your efforts. I will paraphrase old Buddhist teaching that is something along the lines of 'Thoughts become words, and words become actions.' It is true. I like to remind all my students that the most underused word in learning is the word Yet. When they say "I can't do it" I remind them to put a YET at the end of their sentence and it becomes "I can't do it YET." They always do get it in the end.
