25.01.2022 Murphy and Molly are twins who visited Dr Simone and Dr Andrew this morning for their vaccinations and worming (and a general chat with their owners about best goat husbandry practices!) The pair are as cute as buttons and will be spoilt to bits by their lovely owners. We could not stop cuddling them!

25.01.2022 Good morning! We have had many lovely comments and enquiries about the new masks some of the staff have been wearing lately. With our usual surgery masks in a rather short supply nationally, and to help support an amazing local charity effort, the material masks are from twalking.co ( handmade by volunteers in Ulladulla) or try Ulladulla Picture Framing ( just a minute walk from the vet hospital) They are all triple layer cotton and available in different sizes. All profits go to bowel cancer research. Get excited to wear one, just like Practice Manager Suzie is!!! Twalking means talking and walking- both always very important for mental health, probably even more important for times like the present!!! Check out the link below for all the cool stuff you can get: https://m.facebook.com/twalkingco-102799451386365/

24.01.2022 A Friday funny......well, kind of not joking!

24.01.2022 We do love animal themed stationery! Thanks Carly

23.01.2022 Even more important in 2020!

23.01.2022 The name Abbey comes from Hebrew and means gives joy. This Abbey, a 16 week old Australian Cattle Dog, certainly lives up to her name

23.01.2022 When you are meant to be in Europe for an orthopedic surgery conference but the Aussie borders are closed........ next best thing, the zoom version with a drink at home!

23.01.2022 Apologies the phone lines are playing up. Please keep trying.Apologies the phone lines are playing up. Please keep trying.

23.01.2022 Stand through life firm as a rock in the sea, undisturbed and unmoved by its ever-rising waves. - Hazrat Inayat Khan Thanks to all of our dear clients for your support, your smiling faces and your wagging tails

21.01.2022 When a dog does a random crap during a consult that lands in an awkward spot on the vet.... How embarrassing! Poo jokes arent our favourite type of jokes, but they are a solid # 2

21.01.2022 Dr Simone has developed a theory after observing so many animals in her many years of practice..... The length of a cats whiskers is directly related to their niceness. I have never met a cranky cat with long whiskers! That being said, Scout, the Springer Spaniel pup in for a final puppy vaccination this week, would make a pretty darn lovely cat! ( ok, she is a pretty darn lovely dog too!)

19.01.2022 They say eyes are the windows to one’s soul. Roxy, a beautiful 6 month old German Shorthaired Pointer, has a beautiful soul. She also loves being fed BBQ chicken by Nurse Maisy!

19.01.2022 A very happy birthday to Dr Rachel today. Her birthday cake was almost as tall as she is! Dr Rachel was very busy this past weekend, with 2 patients bitten by snakes part of her afterhours caseload. Magic and Maeve are from different properties, but both lucky to be alive and doing well today. Both needed to be intubated and be put into an induced coma type situation, with Dr Rachel then taking both dogs home with her so she could keep an even closer eye on them throughout the evening. It is this type of dedication that kept both of these patients alive, and the good result makes the lack of sleep all the worthwhile for us vets!

18.01.2022 Nurse James proudly showing off his nice sausage.....

18.01.2022 Jasper is a Border Collie who took on a motorbike on his property and lost! He was unable to use one of his front legs. Dr Naomi and Vet Tech Helena took radiographs of his leg and he had a dislocated elbow joint! After forceful but very accurate manipulation, Dr Naomi was able to put the bone back where it was meant to be (see the before and after radiographs.)Jasper is now using the leg well again and hopefully he has learnt a lesson that moving objects and dogs don’t mix!!!!

18.01.2022 Practice Manager Suzie is the boss, but it looks like Rocky might one day have other ideas.

18.01.2022 Oscar agrees..... we have this week licked

17.01.2022 If the path be beautiful, let us not ask where it leads.......

17.01.2022 Horse found Croobyar Rd this morning. Please get in touch if you have information regarding owner.

16.01.2022 All in a days work

14.01.2022 Marla has been in for her suture removal after having a bit of work done by Dr Andrew and Nurse Ash a few weeks ago. French Bulldogs are known for having a few extra little issues due to their body shape. Marla had a twisted and very deep set vulva which caused some infections. She also had narrow nostrils which required widening. After a nose job and a vagazzle, Marla is ready to hit the town!

13.01.2022 Jewel, the Diamond Python, came in for an injection today and was on her best behaviour. Lucky for the vets, Jewel was armless.

12.01.2022 We are not sure who these are from, but thank you, and..... you are welcome

12.01.2022 Just for those who love a good sausage Dachshunds are small in stature but big in personality!

12.01.2022 Any time you can hear cows mooing, instead of horns blowing, it is a blessing! Our farm visits remind us that the grass is in fact not greener on any side other than here

11.01.2022 The power of gentle kindness should never be underestimated.....

11.01.2022 Some of the sweeties in for surgery today!

10.01.2022 A very happy birthday to Nurse Chris! His life motto of it wont blow itself is made even more difficult this year with our compulsory wearing of masks With half his face covered, it is even more important that his hair is on point for us to admire at work. A beautiful cake by Nurse Maisy was enjoyed by everyone. Happy birthday to someone who is a dear friend to us all, a dream colleague and an overall great human being.

10.01.2022 Romi is a veterinarian who is originally from Uruguay but now is a local. Well, almost Romi is the newest member of our team and we celebrated her birthday today with a traditional Uruguayan cake, a Chaja, made by our concierge. Happy birthday Romi!

10.01.2022 So bad, it is good!

10.01.2022 No matter what your opinions about things are, facts are facts and now is a time for everyone to be responsible and do the right thing for the community at large. All it takes is one case and we have all seen what can happen! https://www.southcoastregister.com.au//postive-covid-test/

09.01.2022 Not much warms the heart more than a tight knit duck family unit sunning themselves on a warm spring day. We wish to apologise to those affected by the cancellation of Dr Andrews appointments next week as he is taking some personal leave. Drs Naomi, Rachel, Jess, Corinna and Simone are all on board and available to see you and your beloved pets as usual

08.01.2022 Frenchie life by Monie and Chillie....... ( ok, Chillie is actually half Frenchie and half Pug, but she has a certain joie de vivre! )

07.01.2022 Nothing makes me smile more than looking into the face of a dog that loves me. Unknown.

06.01.2022 The latest trend in animal handling- casual restraint by Nurse Ash.....

05.01.2022 Dancer and Marley are a combined 6 kgs of curly mini poodle sweetness!

05.01.2022 Everyone needs a story with a happy ending sometimes! Dr Corinna deserves all the credit for this one, ably supported by the team. Bernard, thanks so much for your kind words and seeing Zacs smiling face again makes it all worthwhile xo https://www.facebook.com/1233735640/posts/10217646978666288/?d=n

05.01.2022 An international branding and marketing expert has kindly designed and given us these images to use as a header on social media platforms. As a business which has been 100% locally owned for over 40 years, we are one of the regions most well known establishments and wish to continue this sense of community spirit. This new design is a fun and cute image which we hope captures our love of all animals which is at the core of our vet hospital. Which design do you prefer? In the comment section, please place a 1 for the faces, or a 2 for the bums! We value your opinion and thank you for your input!

05.01.2022 A big happy birthday to our fabulous Nurse Ash! Ash is an exceptional and experienced vet nurse who started her career with us many years ago. She has it all covered and we are in awe of the job she does, whether it is as Dr Andrews surgical nurse, on the reception desk, ordering stock or caring for the patients in hospital. Supernurse Ash, cheers to you!

03.01.2022 2020 is not a year many would rather remember for a number of reasons, but it is important to have things to look forward to. We are very pleased to announce that we are the major sponsors of Sculpture at Petana this year. Meander around an amazing garden, marvel at nature with an awesome view of Didthul ( Pigeon House Mountain), view the outstanding art, let your imagination run wild and escape just for a while www.sculptureatpetana.com https://m.facebook.com/petanagardens/

03.01.2022 If you have a favourite animal meme, please share it with us for a laugh. With Dr Andrew currently having a little time off, it is your turn to put your best animal meme in the comments section.

02.01.2022 We always appreciate messages of support and thank anyone who takes the time to help spread positive thoughts and encouragement to others in our world, whether it be to those working at the supermarket, at a medical clinic, hairdresser or building site. Dr Andrew would like to stress people are only as good as those who surround them and that he is blessed to have such an awesome team to work with every day

02.01.2022 Congratulations to our own super Nurse Helena whos story features in the latest university media release. Education is always vital to improving the world and we should all never stop learning!
