21.01.2022 We are asking for your help on a matter close to our hearts For over 12 months we have been battling with the "big guys" over our turn off and signage into ...The Peach Farm. Some of you will know our long, ongoing story but here it is in the SHORT form so you can see what we have dealt with since 2019. 1. Our access was completely closed for 3 months, we were told it would be 4 weeks maximum. So we had to shut our farm to our visitors. THEN... the mess they made of the drainage flooded our paddocks so we lost numerous crops... THEN.. 2. Inadequate slip lane, way too short but we were told we weren't an existing business so too bad. 3. They tried to shut us down 4. Now have rights to EVERY DA or approval we seek. 5. Knock back on Liquor Licence we applied for due to "issues"... etc etc etc We won't give up! We have many different avenues to explore in the pipeline along with current legal representation and advisors... I have attached a LINK to a very short SURVEY I would love you to fill in and please please share... the more feedback we can get in a short timeframe the better! 05.01.2022 I know everyone is in a rush to get somewhere but please if your heading to or from Brooms Head, slow down for the sake of our emus. I witnessed a near miss of ...2 of these beautiful birds this afternoon after pulling over a way back to watch them cross after spotting them in the scrub (little miss loves them). It seriously doesn't add that much time to your day to take your time, particularly through the sections from Taloumbi to Hayleys/Sandys Creek, especially around the regular crossing spot at the cane farm!! Although we have spotted them as far back as Clarence Peak Station and reports have been made of them being sighted in yards around Gulmarrad as well. Sadly vandals continue to damage and remove warning signs, even tipping over the VMS boards set up recently. This photo was take by Stephen Otton some time ago, I borrowed it for this post to highlight how precarious the crossing can be and today's was much closer! #coastalemu #broomshead #myclarencevalley
