BOOTY BASE Stop flopping around like a fish trying to lose fat & start doing something efficient... like fkn learning how to LIFT! - If you’re on a quest to tone up your body and you feel like you’re spinning your wheels with hundreds of different bodyweight exercises and circuits that leave you of breath & sweaty... but aren’t really seeing any significant changes in your body, then listen up punk! - I know that big, barbell movements can be a little daunting at times... you’re a little overwhelmed and it’s so much easier to sneak into the back of the latest total body burn circuit classes at your gym & unwillingly punch out poorly performed burpees because #health - But learning to get the confidence to go and kick arse (and build it) on that barbell with some fucking tough sets, is the best thing you’ll ever do for yourself & your health - I’m not saying that circuit training & cardio/conditioning is useless at all... to be honest, I actually love doing little HIIT & Conditioning training at the end of my workouts, and even give them to my clients. - I even posted a timed juicy booty circuit on here the other day & it was epic! - BUT... lifting comes first! - I also just realised that I wrote But Lifting and didn’t even mean to make it punny and sound like Butt Lifting... so that’s gotta be a sign... right? - ANYWAY!... Too many people make circuit based functional training the foundation of their training. - If you’re just looking to move more, get your heart rate up, burn a few calories & then eat them all back later... then go for gold. - BUT... lifting (there I go again) needs to be a staple in your routine if you really want to shape your body and build a booty! - Get comfortable with a barbell Learn the basic compound lifts Then learn how to get uncomfortable with a barbell with extremely tough & challenging sets - Give it a go, I double dog dare ya

19.01.2022 GET EXCITED The gym will be reopen from 6pm tonight Reception will be open 6-7:30pm and 24hr access will be available to members with a 24/7 key tag after Reception closes.... BOOTY CLASS is on 6:30-7pm IMPORTANT INFOMasks are to be worn at all times whilst in the gym even out of staffed hours. If you don't have a mask unfortunately you will not be able to enter the gym. (Please remember we did not make this ruling so your understanding is muchly appreciated!) Creche kiddies under 12 are not permitted to wear a mask. Towels are to be used & machines/equipment to be wiped down after use

18.01.2022 MEMBER of the MONTH for SEPTEMBER is SHARON.. 3yrs ago this amazing lady took the courageous step to join Ultim8fitness & has lost an AMAZING 46kg!!!!! Now I say courageous because Sharon had tried several times to get up enough courage to not only join the gym but to just walk into the gym! She would even drive up the driveway sit in her car & then turn around & leave.... Then one day she didn't drive off she walked in & with the support of her husband & some personal training with PT LIVVY now there's no looking back for this lady She trains 4 days a week in the gym & will always make sure she reaches her 10 000 step goal a day..even if it means walking around & around her house at 9pm at night Her story is just incredible & such an inspiration to us all

16.01.2022 MEMBER of the MONTH for November is LAISE LAISE joined us back in July & has been working extra hard on her fitness goals. She originally did our #ultim8challenge on the stair machine back in July & got 27mins...she kept saying she wanted to improve this time & just kept doing them until her fitness improved & with our most recent challenge she smashed her time down to 6m 54secs which was the 3rd fastest on the board!... What an achievement! Isn't it amazing what we can do if we just keep persevering

However to date Ive lost an outstanding 29kgs in 2 years.... This 8week challenge with tnt crew has taught me new things, new knowledge, new tips & Im positive now Ill be able to maintain my new body Ive worked so hard for. My goals for the next few months are to work on my 6pk, legs & arms. Get back into my running & start training again for the Bribie Island triathlon. It was fun competing in this 8wk challenge online with Joel Bushby & his tnt crew. I look forward to the next challenge in the new year. As our instructors & staff will be taking a well earned break please note that the last Classes & Creche will finish up on Thursday 24th December. We will only be running our morning sessions & the gym will be unstaffed from 12:30pm with limited staffed hours over the Christmas/NewYear period. All casual/weekly passes can ONLY be used in staffed hours. If you require 24hr access over the ...Christmas period we have 1mth memberships available for $99. Please note a $150 fee will be charged if you are found letting non member's into the gym out of staffed hours....#dontbethatperson

Apple, carrot, date & walnut loaf.... 3 apples grated 2 med carrots grated 6 fresh dates chopped 60g walnuts chopped 1 egg 150g wholemeal spelt flour 30g oats 1 tsp baking powder 1tsp baking soda 1 tsp spice (I used ginger & nutmeg can use cinnamon ) 1/2 cup olive oil 1/2 cup almond milk Option add 1/4 cup of honey or maple syrup to make it sweeter. Mix to combine and put in a lined loaf tin bake for 50 to 60min 180 degrees. Or use muffin trays and bake for 20 to 25min. #ultim8fitnessgym #healthybaking #eatforhealth #sundaybaking

NO excuses for Kev & his wife as they hired a spin bike & a rower & their son dropped them in some weights. I'd also like to add he has mapped out a course in his room which is 75 steps per lap & he makes sure he completes atleast 17 000 steps a day!... For those who don't know Kev is in training for the @inba_defence_emergencyservices show on October 17th in the Ultra Master's Over 60 division What a champion
