18.01.2022 Make sure that your books blurb hits it mark! If you don't capture the reader's attention in the first 3 lines of your books blurb, the chances if them buying it decreases by almost 60%! "You can go after the job you wantand get it!... You can take the job you haveand improve it! You can take any situation you’re inand make it work for you! This was the blurbs first 3 lines for the brilliant 'How to Win Friends and Influence People' by Dale Carnegie. Dale’s book was originally published in the 1930s! But with those first lines, the book description and the book itself, resonates with readers and is just as relevant today as it was seventy-five years ago.

03.01.2022 Here are 5 fun facts about books 1. There’s a word for loving the smell of old books. If you love the smell of old books. They have the aroma of dust and a whole lot of history. Well now you can call it something - Bibliosmia... 2. Author’s names didn’t used to be printed on the covers of their books. The covers of the first printed books were considered artworks. They were covered in drawings, leather and even gold so there wasn’t a place for the author’s name. 3. The first book ever written using a typewriter was The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Mark Twain has impacted the literary scene more than many others! 4. The three most read books in the world are The Holy Bible, Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-Tung, and Harry Potter. 5. Icelandic people read more than anyone. Perhaps it has to do with the weather, or maybe they’re just taught to really love books.
