24.01.2022 Just a word on snatch straps and how they are used for 4wd vehicle recoveries guys. There has been an amendment to the legislation changing the term ‘snatch st...rap’ to ‘recovery strap’. All manufacturers MUST supply with the recovery strap on purchase ‘instructions for use’. To mitigate any manufacturer's liabilities, the instructions for use is fairly ambiguous, to say the least and there are variations between makes of recovery straps in their explanations. If their (makers of recovery straps) suggested method of recovery doesn’t work they state to use an alternative recovery method. So unfortunately the old snatch and release methods are a little questionable now. Anyway, please read the ‘instructions for use’ before putting a ‘recovery strap’ into good practice. I just thought I would share this bit of information in that most 4wd vehicle recoveries achieved in Wilbinga are handled by what we all use to know as snatch straps. Cheers guys.

This is to stop / restrict people travelling between the City of Wanneroo (Perth/Peel region) and Shire of Gingin (Wheatbelt) in line with the state government directives. Please remember those personnel checking movements are only doing their job. Please remain respectful. Intrastate Travel WA $50,000 Fines ... 18.01.2022 I thought I would share a few photos of 'Nanga Hill' that was closed on us 4wdrivers many, many moons ago. I keep these photos as a reminder as to what can happ...en to our 4wd tracks if we are not deemed responsible out there. The closure happened pretty much overnight under the radar and it upset many, including me. Nanga Hill was one of the greatest hill climbs and I do miss it, such an iconic 4wd track in its day... unfortunately gone forever now. Enjoy the photos. See more
