25.01.2022 If I have learnt anything over the last few years, it is too delegate where ever possible! Kids are so capable of so many things and it is often us adults that get in the way of them learning how to. I now delegate so much to help share the load around. ... Obviously keeping it age approporiate! Our 12 year old is learning to do the washing, whilst the boys empty the dryer and move the washing to the dryer. All 3 of them are in charge of unloading the dishwasher and now, they have to put their own clothes away once folded. I've tried getting them to fold but my OCD just cannot handle it! Have you delegate many tasks to your kids? I'd love to hear what and how old they are. @ Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

21.01.2022 Do you get the kids involved with your meal planning? I've found that by getting the kids to pick a meal each, each week, they've been way more excited for dinner each night. I even get "helpers" in the kitchen!... I keep track of the meals in my @ultimatefamilyplanner each week, and the kids keep track with our Meal Plan Magnet on the fridge. Meal times have never been easier! Do you get your kids invovled in meal planning?

19.01.2022 OVERPLANNING RUINED MY LIFE! It's true! I didn't even know it was a thing, overplanning, until it had already caused so much damage. https://ultimatefamilyplanner.com.au//overplanning-ruined-

19.01.2022 ? Our brain is constantly recording info and decluttering the unimportant stuff, especially things that don’t come up again, to make way for new information. Writing forces your brain to analyse the information on a deeper level, kind of like imprinting, rather than just another bit of information it hears that day. ... Because of this, it makes the brain more likely to store the information rather than chuck it out with the many many things we tend to forget. One of the 4 Reasons Why Planning Helps Save Lives... check out the post on the blog. Link on comments See more

07.01.2022 ? I actually get asked this question quite often, especially from Mums who think that their child may too be on the spectrum. I actually knew from a young age with our middle child, he was not much older than 12 months. ... But it was it was his routine and rituals that really gave me my moment of clarity. There were two things in particular but, I’ll share with you the most significant. We had somehow unintentionally create a ritual before bed that he absolutely had to have, in the exact same way every night, for him to go to sleep. We would put him to bed with a warm bottle (which eventually turned into a cup of milk), which we would need to give to him. We then kissed him on the head and he would give us the bottle back, and we would then need to put it up on the bed head, or in the cot, and tuck in his blankets. He would then grab the bottle had it back to us once more for us to put away again and then he would drink away. Although often he would just hold the bottle, which turned out to be the warmth that he longed for. People thought I was nuts, no soft for doing it. But I knew it was more than that. I knew that there was something different with how he worked. That he was not the same as any of us. But their reactions, well that is a story for a different day. I’d love to know, if you have a child with special needs, what was the turning moment for you? That moment when you just knew . @ Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

07.01.2022 And everything in between!

06.01.2022 Plan with me! This week we walk you through how we meal plan for the week. It has all our little tips and tricks to bring down the grocery bill and keep the family off your back!... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ks5Mk_td3Mw

06.01.2022 THIS WAS THE YEAR WE LOST EVERYTHING... The year our family was made complete as we became 5 but it was also the year we hit our rock bottom and had to start from scratch. The year we found ourselves homeless. The year my obsessive planning, and honestly OVER PLANNING began.... I planned everything! And NOT in a good way. Every dollar, every minute, every visit, every task, I allocated time for it. Even time for fun- I planned out every little bit of life. I didn't really live it. Looking back I know why. I can see that I was so afraid to be in that situation again that I thought over planning would keep us safe. My over planning caused so much stress on my relationships, stress on myself, it increased my anxiety. I did this for years!!! BUT... I’ve finally found a balance. A way to plan and live, and plan because it helps and not because I'm scared. As much as I love planning, I need to remember to enjoy the moments and actually live them too! Most importantly to have fun with my planning and to use it as a tool, not my way of life. @ Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

05.01.2022 Correct! Okay, maybe coffee!

05.01.2022 I am the first to admit that I forget everything! I get anxious when there's too many things to do. I get overwhelmed just thinking about everything that's on my shoulders.... Between working 5 days a week, running my own business, managing a house, being a mum of 3 amazing children, navigating my way through ADHD, ASD, CRPS and Fibromyalgia, being a sister, daughter and friend; I can barely remember to a bra on! So I write everything down, I categorise and prioritise to help manage all the hats that I wear. Not only does it help me break things down to bite sized pieces, I find I'm more productive now than ever. If you want to increase your productivity, check out our notepads and lighten the mental load!

01.01.2022 WHAT IS IT THEY SAY ABOUT GOOD INTENTIONS? JANUARY looks great, everything is in there and you may have even colour coded. FEBRUARY, you lose the colours and forget to enter a few things. MARCH, you're lucky if you remember that you have a planner.... APRIL... what planner? You are completely off the wagon now! Does this sound familiar to you? Yes? Me too! I get it. Life gets so busy and we have every intention of filling in our planners but, shit happens. OFTEN! That's why we are creating a community of mums to help keep you on the wagon. In fact, every month in your Ultimate Family Planner you will find 3 challenges. One for your HOME, FAMILY and YOURSELF! We will have a group set up specifically to help each other with these challenges. A group of mums, (NON-JUDGEMENTAL) keeping each other motivated, organised and on the wagon. And if you need it, accountable! When you choose the Ultimate Family Planner, you really are becoming apart of the family!!!
