Check out this fantastic startup story from Jacinta Mannion at Ultra Fleet: "The idea for Ultra Fleet began when our other family business experienced interruptions every time my husband Jason’s work ute needed to be serviced or repaired. After a conversation, some brainstorming and running our 3 children around, I told Jason I thought we could make this business idea a reality. We developed a business plan, met with our accountant and came to the realisation we would need to relocate our family to Gunnedah. So we just went with it. Within 2 months we had packed up our family of 5 and arrived in Gunnedah along with our first 4 Ultra Fleet vehicles. We quickly became involved with the business community and used local expertise to get our first 4 vehicles ready for clients. Since we started our first hire with Whitehaven Coal in October 2011 we have survived mining down turns and expanded to not just service the mining sector but locals requiring vehicles. In January 2020 we celebrated our 100th vehicle to the fleet and October this year we have a fleet of 100 vehicles within the North West. Ultra Fleet LOVE doing business in the North West. We have a strong support base in our Council, Business Chamber and clients that use and recommend our business. The Gunnedah business community support each other through the ups and downs and locals are passionate about seeing Gunnedah thrive as a town and a community."
