Traditionally brokers have been able to provide a competitive and comprehensive Home Loan Service that gives a choice of lenders at no or very little cost to their customer . 19.01.2022 Last week a customer was advised by their own bank that they would not approve their home loan as it was out of the banks policy. The branch manager had asked them for an additional $5000 deposit which would have left them with next to no money to move into their new home. They came to Ultra Home Loans for a better solution. On checking that lenders broker website I found the branch manager was incorrect and I was able to proceed with an application to their bank without re...quiring the additional deposit the branch had requested. 01.01.2022 Changes to credit reporting........... New changes have come into effect as of the 1st of July making it mandatory for the big four banks to report more information about their customers. Credit reports are created from banks, utility companies and telecommunications carriers providing details about your credit habits to credit reporting bodies. These agencies use this information to compile your credit report and a credit rating which is a numerical value between 0 and 1200... and the higher the score the better your credit rating. Your lender will use your credit report to help decide whether to approve your loan. Only licensed credit providers can access the information contained in your credit report. But prior to July 1 most banks reported minimal information, usually any enquiries for a credit facility would be listed on your report and details of defaults on accounts or lending facilities.
