For future reference .. having a runaway in a Euclid 250 Tonnes mining truck once with 4 turbos here are a few methods to stop it. 1./ 3rd Gear... dump the clutch and stall it 2./ Chop the Charge hose. 3./ Bash the oil pipe on the turbo shut (or chop it , with risk of fire). 4./ Drain the Sump with obvious issues to engine.. 5./ Tough rag down the intake that is wrapped around a tennis ball. 5./ CO2 Extinguisher (ABE-powder and water will destroy the engine) 6./ Turn off the oil tap to the turbo .. that you should have installed when you bought it . 7./ Close the throttle valve that you might have installed to prevent this when you bought it. 8./ Childs fluffy toy down the intake (smashes turbo). 9./ Couple of oranges or apples down the intake, they destroy the turbo and are minced into fine much .. which might not kill the engine altogether. 10./ Block the PCV, and Engine Breathers so it forms a vacuum and can no longer suck or pump oil (doubtful outcome for engine that is reving high and hot). 11./ Stand back and film it while you read your insurance documents. Weather Situation: The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 3:25 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Shellharbour and Lake Avon. These thunderstorms are moving towards the northeast. They are forecast to affect Wollongong, Picton and the Nattai Tablelands by 3:55 pm and Sutherland, Sydney Airport, Katoomba, Camden, Campbelltown and Liverpool by 4:25 pm. Damaging winds are likely. 01.01.2022 Looking at buying a Porche Cayenne Turbo for off road fun .. it more punch than a Landy V8 . Good examples are around the 20 K mark so I think this could be the next big thing in "wife loves it too " fun machines. Few mods to be done to these and looking at developing some . 500 HP and 20 L/100 .. oh well .. Based on the VW Toureg but much better traction control.
