23.01.2022 454kg - 1,000.9lbs Body weight PR. Weighed in at 131.5kg the morning of this training session. This was my last heavy squat session of this training... cycle. My goal was to squat 1,000lbs again and I achieved it with more left in me. So now it’s time to back off for a little bit. I’ll be deloading on my squat for the next month and giving my body a break. After this squat session over the weekend I’m confident that I can achieve an all time squat PR by the end of the year. So that will be my next big goal moving forward with my training from here. 23.01.2022 Our 3 lads did Brilliant today at their first Novice comp held @burleystrength. They all came away with PBs of some sort and didnt miss many lifts at all. Lots to learn from. JOEY:... Squat: 120kg PB Bench Press: 82.5kg PB Deadlift: 145kg PB DAN: Squat: 190kg PB Bench Press: 132.5kg PB Deadlift: 195kg, missed a 185kg in training, big come back. JACK: Squat: 157.5kg PB Bench Press: 112.5kg PB Deadlifts: 150kg opener, then unfortunate injury. 22.01.2022 Our boys Mathew Wayling and Daniel Wade did Ultra proud yesterday! Both of them wanted to total 700kg and that's what they did. Matty: Squats: 275/295X/295. Bench Press: 145/152.5/160X (so freaking close). Deadlifts: 235/252.5/260. ... Total: 707.5kg. - PBs on every lift and total. He also got his very first 700kg+ total. Dan: Squats: 272.5kg Bench Press: 170kg (just missed 180kg) Deadlifts: 257.5kg. Total: 700kg. - Strained his hamstring on his opener deadlift. He did great switching his deadlift stance into a position that didn't hinder the injury to much. The next lift then got him his 700kg total! Awesome work guys!! ACT Strongest, 02 May- being held at the home of all things strength Burley Strength We can confirm that this will also be a qualifying event for both ASA nationals plus NSW strongest man. Novice round 2, 27 June- The amazing team from Ultra Fitness and Strength Gym will be running our Old Time Strongman event, expect some time warp action at this one Novice round 3, 30 & 31 Oct- Run again over the same weekend and held out of the Oktoberfest grounds in Queanbeyan. Edit: We had a mix up of dates. Static Monsters is 23/24 October we will confirm what’s happening here soon. Arnold’s Qualifier, 13 Nov- wrapping the year up with our penultimate event out at the Queanbeyan Show. As with all events we post and most certainly in recent times, we recognise that the health environment could change rapidly so please save the dates but glue yourself to our social media should we require venue changes or limitations on numbers.

14.01.2022 We had a surge of new equipment enter the gym over the weekend due to the great generosity of Jordan who has joined our Ultra Coaching Team!. This included: x1 mono lift, x1 squat rack, x1 Glute Ham-Raise, 500kg+ of calibrated plates, 250kg+ of stainless steel plates, x2 deadlift bars, a specialty squat bar and multiple variation barbells. A HUGE thank you to everyone that helped move and set up the equipment! .... This week was also the first week our expanded Ultra Coaching Team of 5 worked together throughout the week! 14.01.2022 Some screenshots taken from video's sent to our coach Jake on Monday (apologies for poor quality). These 3 did some squat testing and blew it to pieces!. Chloe: 85kg x3. Nathan: 200kg x3.... Bradley: 185kg x1 (35kg pb). Although the numbers are great for these 3 - the more exciting improvements have been developments in imbalances, patience through the lift, bracing and other general cue's. Whilst our main focus has been on building a better pyramid base it has been pleasing to see such great numbers come out of it as well. Smart and appropriately planned testing every 3+ months can be important to highlight the next few things to work on. 10.01.2022 Congratulations to Daniella Tuimatai for becoming our very first Ultra Sponsored Athlete!!. Della's best competition lifts are a 272.5kg Squat, 105kg Bench Press and 240kg Deadlift. Best total of 602.5kg/1328lb. Making first place SHW at GPC Nationals 2016, 2017 & 2019. 3rd place at Arnold's - ProRaw 2017 & 2019 SHW. Words from Della's coach Jake:... "We have been working together for over 2 years now and have made some great progress. 01.01.2022 The Ultra Equipped Powerlifting crew was newly formed this year by these 5 lads. They have been training consistently hard and on the weekend 4 of them competed for the first time together at @nemesis_powerlifting and blew the socks off it! Daniel ended up breaking 2 GPC Sub-Masters equipped records with a 386kg squat and a 220kg Bench Press u110kg. Mark broke a sub-masters GPC Squat record with 260kg u90kg....
