25.01.2022 Over the period of lockdown I spent a lot of time learning & understanding how the body moves, activating different muscles separately & focusing on the technique . During this time I was able to experiment of myself which has helped me pass that onto my clients. By training with resistance bands & using body weight exercises helped me to on activation .... Over the past couple of months I have been practising muscle ups using gymnastic rings. I feel that my progress has come to a plateaued . Using the cable I can replicate the movement. As I am engaging the same muscles I would be using during the muscle up. 1 Pulling my elbow into my ribs with my lats, finishing with the hand in front of the shoulder. 2 Pulling the wrist down to the ground in a swinging motion finishing with the hand behind the waist & knuckles pointing down. 3 Focus on the eccentric as much as possible. Keeping the muscles with time under tension helps you build strength as this is what tears the muscle fibres. Strenght training is about incorporating exercises that help to focus on the way the body moves, which muscles get activated & how they get activated . Focus on activation of the muscle & watch your progress sky-rocket .

Certain situations (COVID-19) we face make us depressed & anxious. If we look at the glass half full we see that this is a time for us to grow & look for opportunities. 21.01.2022 , At the end of 2019 I said to myself 'This is my year to make a difference to my business'. 2020 was off to a great start, but due to COVID 19 business came to a halt . ... With gyms being temporarily closed, thinking outside of the box was a must . Just because there was certain circumstances from letting me move forward didn't mean to stop & give up. 14.01.2022 Weight loss is a journey that you have to enjoy & rush. Along your journey your body starts to go through a process to help remove any toxins from the body & regenerate the microbiome.... This process takes 4-6 weeks. That was me & this is me today. I have been on my own weight loss journey for 2 years & have enjoyed the entire journey. Learning new recipes to cook, looking at food in a completely different way & listen to my body. In the past I would try anything & everything to lose weight. I have attempted my fair share of weight loss diets. These would last 6 weeks & I would through in the towel going back to my old habits. I know the difficulties of trying to change my body composition. I still haven't reached my goal after 2 years. I am enjoying the journey. Weight loss is a marathon, not sprint . 11.01.2022 Appreciating the finer things in life is what gives you happiness & the Ultra Instinct family that I am training with is what makes me love my job . I love getting out of bed at 4:30am every morning to start my day with minimal sleep. What drives me is engaging with my clients, teaching them the basic understanding of movement & helping my clients achieve there results . ... 10.01.2022 It's amazing how fast time goes by when you're enjoying life . Being a personal trainer I get to interact with a lot of people everyday. Building new friendships with people, helping people achieve their health & fitness goals & giving back to others bringing me the most amout of joy .... I love being able to give back to my clients to show the appreciation I feel training with them . Over the past 12 months Sofia & I have been training together. My diet is heavily focused on eating a huge variety of fruits & vegetables . ... What you put into your body determines how you will physically look & mentally feel. 1 The brain & the intestine are connected together through the vagus nerve which sends messages both ways. 2 The brain has 100 billion neurons & the intestine has 100 million neurons. 3 Our microbiome is the centre point for our immune system which determines our immune response. 4 Our microbiome produces most of our neurotransmitters which changes the way think, feel & behave. 5 Our microbiome produces 90 % of our serotonin levels & less than 10% in the brain. 06.01.2022 is a very hard set of emotions to notice on friends or family. We think we know how they are, but the sad thing is we don't . Having experienced both anxiety & depression at the same time myself, it became very ominous for me. I have experience panic attacks so bad that some would last for 30 minutes to an hour . The best decision I ever made was to introduce exercise , a healthy diet & working on my mental health into my routine. I have never felt ...better. Mental health should be something to be ashamed about. Being vulnerable in an uncomfortable situation is what makes you mentally strong. Don't be afraid to feel vulnerable, reach out to someone to talk . Look after your mental health & stay strong .

06.01.2022 It has been officially 2 years since I changed my life for good. Before I become a PT I was an electrician with some really bad habits. I would eat a lot of processed foods, high in sugar & bad fats & to add I was a 5 cigarette/day smoker. It was until I experience my first epileptic seizure in 8 years that changed everything for me. This made me think of my health & take action. From the day I changed my life for good, I have never felt better. Healthier more energy ..., more mental clarity & I haven't had a seizure since. 2 years ago I decided to follow a vegan diet to become healthier & start my weight loss journey. I started to look at food in a different way & thought of what I could have instead of what I can't have. Since then I have lost 20kg. I am thankful for experiencing a seizure 2 years ago, because it made become a healthier person both mentally & physically.

03.01.2022 #TBT This was me 8 years ago. Standing in the middle thinking I was the coolest in those sunnies . Back then I had a very poor diet, hardly any exercise and overall not feeling good about the way I looked or felt. Fast forward to now I am exercising everyday whether that be strength training, cardio or just taking the dog for a walk. I am eating more of a whole foods diet consisting of mainly fruits & vegetables. And feel more comfortable with the way my body feels & looks. I have been on my own transformation journey for 2 years now & don't know when I will reach my destination. During this time learn from mistakes you may have made, know that life is a marathon & not a sprint & enjoy the journey that you are discovering. Anything is possible if you believe in yourself

02.01.2022 Boot Camp Saturday's Boot Camp Saturday's kicked off at Newfarm Park on May 30th. The air was crisp, the sun was shining & the energy was electric. We all pushed past out limits, got out of our comfort zone, made new friends & had heaps of fun. ... Boot Camp Saturday's are about building a strong community environment, enjoying the outdoors with good friends & giving ourselves a boost of energy in the morning. Exercising in a community environment helps keep ourselves motivated, energized & enjoyable. Stay tuned for Week 2.

01.01.2022 , To build a better form with your lifts, you have to leave your ego at the door! Good quality reps are much better & develop your strength a lot more efficiently. 20 sets 1 good quality reps are much better than 1 set of 20. ... Focus on the muscle you are training. If you are training the biceps, think of squeezing the biceps as hard as you can through your curl! Even though I am using light weight, I am focusing on my technique of the exercise. Engagement in the core, sitting down on the heels, pushing the knees out & keep the scapula pinched together. My whole body is working to keep me stable while I squat down & using the glutes to push up. Don't rush through your workout. The gym isn't race to finish first . Slow your reps down! It's ok if you don't get the full workout done as long as you have done good quality reps.
