20.01.2022 **Event Update** Hi Everyone, Well, this is the news we really hoped we did not have to deliver this year but with a very heavy heart, here it is. Ultra-Trail Australia 2020 will not be going ahead.... Bush fires, floods, landslides and a global pandemic2020 has thrown everything at us and our team has remained resilient and optimistic (like any good trail runner) that things would improve in time for us to deliver a safe event, for those who were able to attend. Unfortunately, we have run out of time. Current New South Wales restrictions limit events to 500, and these are not going to be reviewed again until the end of September. Under these restrictions unfortunately the event cannot proceed and with still no certainty on when these restrictions will ease, we regret to advise you that Ultra-Trail Australia cannot take place as planned on 22 - 25 October 2020. We know this will bring on a mix of emotions, some of you will be disappointed by this news and others will understandably be relieved to have some certainty. Please know that our team are gutted. We’ve put a huge amount of work into trying to make the 2020 event happen and were really looking forward to seeing you back doing what you love. All currently registered athletes have been sent an email from us today with details on their options, but if you haven't received this first email, please contact us at [email protected]. While we are prevented from holding the event in 2020, we are already looking forward to all of us coming back stronger in 2021. Our team would like to thank you for your patience and support of the event and look forward to seeing you on the start line next year.

09.01.2022 With us all spending more time than usual at home at the moment, making sure you get out and connect with nature, breath in that fresh air, and remember how good it feels to be out on the trails is super important! If you can't get out to any National Parks right now, try to take in some local parks, river trails or anything that will allow you to get some fresh air in the lungs! Don't worry, the Blue Mountains will be there when this is over, ready to welcome you all back!
08.01.2022 *Event Update* No doubt you’ve all been closely monitoring the situation here in Australia and closer to home in New South Wales over the past few months and wondering about the certainty of Ultra-Trail Australia taking place as planned on 22 25 October 2020. While the situation continues to be highly changeable, and we’ve faced enormous challenges over the past few months, we want to reassure you that our team, with the support of our stakeholders, is doing everything we c...an to ensure the event can take place on 22 25 October 2020, for those who are able to attend. However, for our international and interstate athletes, it will be difficult, and in some cases impossible, for you to travel to the event. With this in mind, we have sent those impacted athletes an email today with alternative options. If you believe you should have received this and haven't, please email us at info@ultratrailaustralia. Current New South Wales restrictions, at this stage in place until the end of September, mean that events with less than 500 can take place, subject to a number of COVID safe requirements. We are working hard to ensure that our October event is exempt from this capacity limit. More information about our Ultra-Trail Australia Covid Safe Event plan and how it relates to your experience will be shared over the coming weeks. So, for now, we encourage you to keep your training up, stay positive and, stay patient and we hope to see you on the start line in October!
