23.01.2022 I don't normally do this (a) get up early on a Saturday, or (b) hit up my direct FB contacts for support, but most of you will know the blood, sweat and tears w...e've put into Bookend over the years, building strong projects that benefit the environment and provide life changing opportunities for students. You'll also be aware how much effort the team has put into projects like SIXTEEN LEGS. Until the fires & pandemic hit, we were touring regularly with the SIXTEEN LEGS film and exhibition, but the lockdowns have been both a difficulty in terms of postponing plans, and a benefit in terms of catching up on things we haven’t had a chance to get to. One of those is putting together a Special Edition Blu-Ray, DVD and online archive of SIXTEEN LEGS, as below. We’re taking the weekend to let our contacts get in first with orders for this release, or any of the other sales items, before we start promoting it more widely but feel free to share the info widely as of now. Seriously, go for it! Although we partnered with National Geographic on the global broadcast release, we retain the rights to this Special Edition, which importantly means that everything it earns directly supports our work. If you’ve ever wanted to help Bookend and what we do, please consider contributing to this cause. If you can’t contribute, please share & spread the word. The more momentum we build early, the better the overall campaign, and there are plenty of great reward options and early-bird discounts/benefits. Plus I’ll be banging on about this for the next few weeks, so you might as well get the pain out of the way now! Oh, and you get to laugh at me in a new video clip [PS for those involved with helping make SIXTEEN LEGS and/or on our various mailing lists, you should be getting other emails or messages sometime soon]. ******** The Bookend post: HAPPY HALLOWEEN! We are pleased to say that pre-orders for the SIXTEEN LEGS Special Edition Blu-Ray and DVD sets plus online archive are now open, with a host of other rewards available. There are special early-bird perks to encourage people to contribute early, including discount prices, an on-disc thank you, and shipping of the first batch of discs for Christmas! As a mark of our appreciation, we're giving our long-standing followers and supporters this weekend to get in first with orders before we start promoting the fundraiser to the public, so please make the most of it and don't let those early-bird options slip past! We'd also welcome any feedback on the Indiegogo sales page. If the process doesn't work, please let us know. We might throw a little extra something in for the brave souls who go first! Thank you for your ongoing interest in what we do. This is an exciting project, and we can't make it happen without your support! #SixteenLegs

11.01.2022 We should be able to feature this video clip ?

06.01.2022 Cameras have come a long way since the Box Brownie and this little number has been doing some great work documenting the changing landscape at the museum site. Unfortunately, someone decided that they wanted to 'borrow' it from the construction site over the weekend without telling us. If you come across it on a morning walk or otherwise find it, please drop it in to Council and tell them to let the museum know. Thanks!

06.01.2022 For those of you who would like to see what is being built at the museum site, this little snippet should whet your appetite (we are so excited!) Somewhere for families, students and individuals of all ages to come and learn about our region and its activities, as well as see our local talents and investigate our place in the world. #amazingplaces Tourism*Museum*Science*Arts*Crafts

03.01.2022 What a great way to remove some of our not-so-wanted plastic past. Great day out at the beach and make a difference. https://www.theadvocate.com.au//clean-up-team-to-target-/
