09.01.2022 The past two weeks our Middle and Senior Boys class have been lucky enough to be invited to continue some of their Learning on Country. They were kindly invited by the Angurugu Men’s Art Centre and Angurugu School joining in with Dennis Maminyamandja sourcing didgeridoo shafts to craft for themselves at Thompson’s Bay. One of our proud boys even produced the goods in bringing back a sugarbag. Today we were able to head to Leske Pools for a dip and firing spears. They also cr...eated a great game with the Angurugu boys of tip tip, with special rules that you can’t tag the person who tagged you and if the person who is in suddenly starts counting back from 10 everyone must be in the water before he gets to 1. There was so much laughter and fun had, I felt very guilty for not being able to let them go for a game of dodgeball at Angurugu school as we needed to head back home to Umbakumba. See more
