25.01.2022 It saddens me to see that yet another person has taken it upon themselves to trash our field.
25.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone! Training will be going ahead tomorrow night at Willawarrin, from 5:30pm onwards. Remember we need to practise our social distancing. Please stay home if you are showing cold/flu like symptoms. If you are showing symptoms of being unwell unfortunately we will have to ask you to go home. Cheers! Cant wait to see you all! 22.01.2022 2020 SEASON UPDATE Good evening to all players and families; here is our latest update from FMNC: The 2020 season will commence on July 5/6th for a 12-week competition. (Pending council approval) Training can begin under the Phase One guidelines from next week. (Pending council approval). It is restricted to training groups of 10, this is including the Coach. Of course, with social distancing rules and other guidelines still applying. ... Hopefully, if all goes to plan, further easing of Covid-19 restrictions may only be a few weeks away. We will update you as soon as any further easing of restrictions are put in place. For team nomination purposes, we are assuming that all players who indicated that they are playing in 2020 will still be participating, although we understand that this unprecedented event may have changed that. If this is the case, and you don’t think you will be participating, we would like to know as soon as possible. Please contact us via our Facebook messenger. We are expecting to have more details regarding the season soon. We would like to thank everybody for their patience during this time and assure you we have been working behind the scenes to ensure this season runs as smoothly as possible. We are looking forward to seeing you all soon! Kind regards, The Yowies See more
22.01.2022 We are seeking information from our Willawarrin Community to come forward and let us know who the person responsible is for vandalism of our field last night. We want to send a strong message to everyone that this is not going to be tolerated and there will be repercussions!!!! Anyone with information should private message us and we will act ordinarily so the person responsible for this is held accountable!
22.01.2022 Unfortunately the Yowies have had to withdraw all of their junior teams for this year. There were simply not enough registrations and it was highly unlikely any teams would be filled. This decision has been made now, to give those that have shown interest and registered time to find a team with a different club so they can still play football this year. Players that have registered will be contacted to let them know that this has happened. We can transfer your active kids v...ouchers to another club. Please contact the Yowies when you are signing up for another club and we can help you transfer that voucher. The start to the 2020 season has been severely hampered by the firestorm that hit our villages and hinterland. Our members all suffered and it made it difficult to focus on prioritizing the football club. This will not be the end of Yowies junior football! The Yowies committee and members will spend this year developing a strategy to round up more juniors for next year. We would love to see our juniors on the pitch again! Apologies to those affected by this decision and if you need support finding another club let us know and we can help you.
20.01.2022 Reminder our last rego day is today at the Willawarrin fields please come along and register or if you have any questions! we would love to have you join our club! 10am to 1pm TODAY!
18.01.2022 Good evening all, Please see attatched the latest information from NSW Health (19/08/20). These requirements are to help minimise the risk of Covid-19 transmission throughout our sport: Cease activities that result in the mixing of participants and staff from different regions, eg. by ceasing zone, regional or state championships or competitions. ... Cease activities that result in overnight stays, eg. multi-day training camps. This is due to the increased risk of transmission with shared facilities. Cease face-to-face social activities relating to community sports, eg. award ceremonies, end-of-season social gatherings, post-training group dinners. Avoid carpools or bus travels with people from different household groups where possible. Limit spectators to one parent only, where the child requires parental supervision during the sporting activity. Along with these new requirements we will continue to follow our Covid Safety Plan.
