25.01.2022 Today we had a visit from Jennifer Loupis from AKWAK Aussie Knitters for War Affected Kids. The children are in camps in the snow in winter with not many facilities. Our knitters have made hot water bottle covers which will be sent in a large container with bundles of clothes for (hopefully) each child.

She called in after seeing our signs and now she no longer lonely. After coming up here for holidays she's now living here permanently. Eileen has taught Audrey to knit and she's enjoying all aspects of our group even the new movie club.

18.01.2022 Here’s an easy Sunday recipe from a Cookbook produced by the Finley Scots Church in the 1960s. In those days it was called goulash however it’s more a chow mein. Delicious, easy and full of vegetables. You can add more beans or carrots. Delicious served with a crusty bread roll. If you wish to make it gluten free replace the chicken noodle soup by making the water into chicken stock with 3 stock cubes and after it is cooked add one packet of Chang’s Gluten free fried noodles.

02.01.2022 Polio eradication is still important. Rotary have been working towards this since 1988. Whilst this has been achieved in 99.9% of countries Afghanistan and Pakistan continue to report cases of wild polio. This fundraiser is a small part you can play to help.
