21.01.2022 A Mayoral Gala Event fundraising for Jindelara Cottage will be held on the 25th of July at the Ulladulla Civic Centre and you are cordially invited. The evening will commence at 6.30 & conclude when the dancing stops! t’s your chance to dress up and dance and we guarantee that you will have a great time! All funds raised will go towards the Lions Ulladulla & Districts Community Foundation to build Jindelara Cottage a respite home for kids with a disability.... This will provide respite accommodation for the kids and a much needed break for their families and carers. The Theme of the night is Xmas in July. Start the night with some conversation and fabulous canapés plus a complimentary glass of champagne. A hearty Xmas Dinner follows and then yummy deserts, tea & coffee. All food will be of finest quality provided by Seasalt Catering. There will be a bar and table service of beverages by our friends at the Ex Servos. Formalities on the night will be kept to a minimum really! so there will be hours to chat or dance, dance, dance to music by local live band The Shambles - they will really get your feet going! Great venue, great food, great music and great company. All for only $65 per person. You will be helping a most worthy cause, the construction of the new Jindelara Cottage in Ulladulla. Because of our sponsors we are confidently expecting to raise over $20,000. We can be leverage this to $40,000+ of construction with the generous support of local building suppliers and tradespeople. Each table of 10 will contribute as much as ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS of construction on the new Jindelara Cottage. Bookings may be made by contacting the EX SERVOS CLUB in Ulladulla by phone 44551444 or on line at www.ulladullaexservos.com.au (a small booking fee applies online). Pre-purchased tickets may be picked up at the Ex Servos anytime or at the door after 6.30 pm on the 25th. So get a table together and come along. Please help us to help those who are less fortunate.

13.01.2022 Allan McDonald, Alison Clarke, Gwen Rava and Margaret Tenkate attended the Chartering of the new Lions Club of Shellharbour on Sunday 22 February. Alison, Gwen and Margaret told us all about it at our dinner meeting on 4/3/2015. "The Chartering of any new Lions Club is always a cause for celebration but for the Lions Club of Shellharbour it is especially so as we are, in a sense, being ‘reborn’.... The original Shellharbour Lions Club was chartered on 21 April 1961and was very active in the local community until 1987 when it ceased operation. The Club played a leading role in establishing the Mount Warrigal Nursing Home (now Warrigal Care). A number of the Club members were Board Members of the Nursing Home. The original club was also involved in establishing the Blue Haven aged care facility in Kiama. We are delighted that Norm Rowland, one of the original Shellharbour Lions Club charter members has consented to becoming our Club’s Patron."
