25.01.2022 UMRA Announcement - Eidul Fitr 2020 Assalaamoualaikoum Warahmatulla Wabarakatu Brothers and Sisters This announcement is to inform all mussallis that in line with government directives on public health, UMRA is NOT organising Eidul Fitr prayer this year.... Although some restrictions have been lifted like freedom of movement and congregating with up to 10 people, the pandemic is not over and there is still a significant risk to vulnerable people from COVID-19. We pray to Allah the day when we can return to normalcy and start our congregational prayers again. Regards, UMRA Management

15.01.2022 UMRA ANNOUNCEMENT Taraweeh Salah at Point Cook 63-65 Tom Roberts Pde, Point Cook, Vic 3030 (PRE-REGISTRATION IS COMPULSORY)... Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu. Brothers and Sisters in Islam, Alhamdulillah as per ANIC (Australian National Imams Council) and ICV (Islamic Council of Victoria) announcement the Holy Month of Ramadan (1442H 2021) will commence from Tuesday, 13 April. Like previous years insha’Allah UMRA will be organising Taraweeh Prayer (with Khatam ul Quran) starting from Monday, 12 April 2021. Timing: Please note inshaAllah we will start Isha Prayer at 7:30 pm and Taraweeh prayer will start at 7.45 pm. Venue: Point Cook YMCA Early Learning Centre, 63-65 Tom Roberts Parade, Point Cook VIC 3030. Maximum Capacity (as per COVID safety plan): At this stage, due to COVID restrictions, maximum of 100 people will be able to attend the prayer every night. PRE-REGISTRATION IS COMPULSORY: Everyone (8 years or older) must pre-register once for the whole month and before attending the first day of Taraweeh prayer. Maximum 100 people can register on a first come first served basis. Due to unavailability of separate space for Sisters, only Brothers are able to attend Taraweeh prayer at this stage. Insha'Allah, we will organize for Sisters prayer space as soon as practicable. To register for Taraweeh Prayer, please click the link below: https://tarawih.umra.org.au/ Daily Scan of PIN Number: Upon registration, you will receive a PIN Number via email. This PIN Number must be shown to the UMRA volunteers at the time of entry to the centre for every night. Car Parking: Please park your car properly in designated bays. Plenty of parking is also available close by the venue. Please do not park your vehicle to inconvenience the neighbourhood residents. Please note that everyone must strictly adhere to the following guidelines: Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the prayer time. Doors will be closed once the maximum number is reached. Washroom will not be available at the centre, so please do the ablution before coming to the centre. Bring your own prayer mats. On arrival, please ensure to use hand sanitizer. It is optional to wear a face mask inside the venue. Once the prayer is finished, we request everyone to leave the premises as early as possible. Alhamdulillah with the blessings of Allah SWT the recitation of Al-Qu’ran in Taraweeh salah is nearing completion. Insha’Allah the Huffazs’ will be completing the recitation of the whole Qu’ran tonight, 6 May 2021. We would like to request everyone to join the Taraweeh Salah and the Dua tonight.
