17.01.2022 I’ve been asked by a few to share the poem I wrote for Grandma’s Farewell yesterday. I’m certainly no poet but felt drawn to write it as I contemplated the last... few days of her life and the incredibly special time we spent together - I was in awe of her hands as I held them. 101 years of stories held right there. Enjoy xx See more

13.01.2022 As an End of Life Doula & RN I am privy to so many profound stories and experiences of love, loss, grief and hope as well as incredible knowledge, insight and research from those who dedicate their lives to providing and improving medical and palliative care. Whilst I don't consider myself a writer per se, I do feel compelled to share some of those experiences and particularly the things I learn along the way. It is my hope by sharing what I do you too may help others, or yourself, to have a more meaningful, less stressful (end of life) journey. Here is the first of my Thought Pieces......... if you have time to read these articles or are inclined to share them, please accept my deepest gratitude. I certainly appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

10.01.2022 As nurses, healers, parents, employers, human beings.....are you giving yourself the same attention, compassion and courtesy you would want or need if you were on the receiving end? https://www.unaluna.com.au//self-care-is-not-a-band-aid-it

09.01.2022 The art of what I do as a self-employed End of Life Doula & Registered Nurse is in giving people plenty of time and space to identify their needs, beyond the physical, and then helping them create a meaningful, less stressful experience. This article from a fellow EOL Doula Jacqui Williams so beautifully explores all those other things, beyond the doctor's visits, chemo treatments and hospital stays that people often tell me they want....need..... or even realised they had a choice. To find out more about the variety of support I provide please visit www.unaluna.com.au https://agedcareaus.partica.online//palliative-care-the-ar

06.01.2022 Wondering which type of mask to use? Concerned about the environment? This article may help.

02.01.2022 How gorgeous is this program and a way of bringing joy to Aged Care/Dementia/Mental Health and Hospitals? One of many non-pharmaceutical ways we can invoke calm and joy to people’s lives. https://www.deltasociety.com.au/
