24.01.2022 It's been a while since I have posted anything. Here is a video of nurse bees heading back to the hive, they don't fly like worker bees. Today I took a frame of brood from them hoping my small struggling hive will make a new queen bee I will have a look next weekend to see if they have started to make a new queen or not. Haven't a clue where my other queen went to but there aren't any eggs being laid and she couldn't fly away Guess that's what happens with a swarm, I should have killed her off months ago

23.01.2022 I think I may have upset them very strong healthy & usually calm hive this one. It is one of my original hives from 2 years ago but with a self reared Queen as I accidentally rolled the original Today I took 2 frames of fully capped honey I also did a split of another strong hive that will rear it's own new queen soon

19.01.2022 Perfect temperature to check on the girls today. Happy to report that my 3 smaller hives are doing well. I was so worried they wouldn't get through winter but no issues. They are going so well I can't wait for spring

13.01.2022 My little Apiary is growing & I continue to learn Looks like the little swarm hive is finally getting stronger, I haven't been able to find the marked queen in weeks so think they made a new one, fresh eggs I have done a couple of splits from my big hives, one is going great guns & looks like they made their own queen, yesterday's split has a new queen off a breeder who had an order cancelled so let's hope they eat the wax & let her out & my plan works

07.01.2022 Yesterday's late afternoon project. Turning a 10 frame excluder into two four frame excluders. I'm adding supers to my nuces everyday this week give the girls some room.
