11.01.2022 Oolala! It has been a while since I had my meal at Terry's Kitchen. Today, the boss asked me to go over and try their new dishes on the menu. Tunggu apa lagi? (Wait no more........) Ladies and gentlemen, let me present you the AUTHENTIC Nasi Campur! (Mixed Rice Malay Style)... I am greedy, so I go for the SPECIAL Nasi Campur, which means I can taste all the condiments that we can choose from. My thought of the dish? Excellent! As a Kelantanist and a die heart fan for Masakan Pantai Timur - East Coast Dishes, I have to say Terry and his team once again nail it on this. The mixed rice (Special) comes with a few different condiments. Nenas Panciri is one the "must try". It's not easy to get this in Melbourne. The taste is similar to Gulai Kawah but the pineapple brings a different sweet and bit of sourish flavour. I also highly recommend the Daging Masak Hitam (Beef). They must have stew the beef for a very long hour because it's so soft and tender yet the flavour absorbed to the meat nicely! FOr prawn and petai (stinky bean) lover, of course not to miss the Udang Sambal Petai! Although we can't get the fresh Petai here in Melbourne, but the cooking method (which is not cooking both my favourite ingredients separately) will let you taste the Petai even when you are having a bite on the prawn! Love it! Of course, the Ayam Berempah and Ikan Asam Pedas are also good choices for the nasi campur. Overall I can tell you this is another great dish from Terry's that can satisfy my tastebud that looking for Authentic Malay food! They are still accepting orders for the Nasi Campur this Thursday and Saturday. If you like Malay food or want to try out this Nasi Campur, act quick!
