23.01.2022 Dear customers, While there has been great news about restrictions easing in Queensland, we will be continuing to operate as a TAKEAWAY business with NO DINE IN or SMORGASBOARD options from MONDAY TO SATURDAY 5-8pm (unfortunately yes, we will be closed on Mother’s Day for the first time in our history). The limit of 10 people dining in is not worthwhile and social distancing is not realistically possible with the Bain Marie.... This is due to a 20 person limit on dining in which is still unfeasible to us as we are an establishment where customers can enjoy a night out. ... 12.01.2022 Dear Customers, Amid the current health crisis and the rapidly evolving daily developments of which the virus COVID-19 is spreading, we have decided to temporarily close operations from Monday 23rd March for 14 days. The recent announcement on Sunday with respect to changing operations in which hospitality businesses such as ours must operate under, it was decided an immediate isolation period should take place to try curb and contain the spread. Bundaberg may only have a few... confirmed active cases but from what we know from connections in Melbourne, Brisbane and overseas as well as medical advice, the contagiousness of this virus is unprecedented. Within the 14 day period, we will be figuring out that should the climate remain stable, we MAY operate as a takeaway only premises and will spend this time producing a special takeaway menu and other offerings. In the interim, the team at Uncle Chan’s hope that you all remain safe and healthy during what will be a challenging few weeks (or months) ahead. Please take care of yourselves and each other.
