20.01.2022 IN THE CHOOK HOUSE with Uncle Joe. With the hotter months fast approaching now is the time to think about how your chooks will handle the heat. They can suffer with heat stress quite quickly and should be placed in the shade. Alternatively go to your local hardware store and purchase some shade cloth (90% rating) to drape over their run. A medium size chook will drink approx. 200ml/ day in the cooler months and 300ml/ day in the hotter months.At all times keepthe waterer filled to capacity with fresh water.
