24.01.2022 We had lunch, followed by lunch and another lunch and then dessert. We didn’t have to choose between the chicken tagine, the pork and papaya or the roast vegetable salad, we had them all and three desserts in miniature to follow. We strolled between each course in the sunshine and sea breeze and talked endlessly. I almost forgot I was the tour guide. Thanks for having us @moor_newcastle_east @__cirque____ @boltonstpantry and @eastendhub it’s been a while since I’ve seen you.



21.01.2022 Some fabulous canapés by The Wilderness Chef in the laneway for our first catered event at The Owens Collective warehouse space. It was wonderful to work with the Hunter Business Womens Network (HBWN) to create this event. So many great conversations and connections were made with amazing women from this group.

18.01.2022 I do hope we can return to business as usual at some stage. At the moment the cafe's are full due to reduced customer numbers. I don't want to take up these spaces with our short visit to each place. We are very glad they can be open and we look forward to showing you the best of Newcastles inner city dining when restrictions lift a little.

15.01.2022 Dinner at @bb_afterdark is the finest non fine dining I’ve had. Savoury doughnuts, pureed tofu and whisky ice cream, the flavour combos are spectacular.



12.01.2022 Remember the old days? Making space for a few more desks at home was a good excuse to dig through some paperwork. I tore out and kept the restaurant review from the paper every week. I kept brochures and flyers for everything. Going through them today reminded me of the passion and enthusiasm I discovered among Newcastle locals that inspired me to start Underground Epicureans eight years ago. The pathways may change but the journey continues. Enjoy the ride.

06.01.2022 A bit of a change in continent today during our visit to Moor Newcastle East for #eastfeastlonglunch. We recommend the Asian inspired slow cooked beef and sweet potato fritter should go on the regular menu.
