22.01.2022 True for ourselves and our children. Don’t save them from their painful moments. Support them as they learn to navigate the pain themselves.
20.01.2022 It is difficult not to swoop in and solve our children’s problems for them. It is difficult to sit beside our children while they navigate their own challenges. But this is exactly what they need us to do. To walk beside them cheering them on - ‘you’ve got this’, ‘I believe in you!’ They require us to believe in them and their ability to manage as we allow them to make their own mistakes and learn from their difficulties. If we fix things for our children, constantly save them@the trouble or the pain or the difficulty - we deny them opportunities to really learn their own power, their own strength and their own worth.
