21.01.2022 Just one week until our plant sale Saturday 29 Aug & Monday 31. Open for sales 10.30 - 2.30 pm. We have a range of locally native ground covers, trees, shrubs. Please assist us on the day by bringing cash and a re-usable container to carry your plants, however there will be some boxes if you forget. 17.01.2022 Our nursery has been missing our wonderful volunteers. All our plants have been receiving water and are healthy but need to be purchased and put into their forever home (the ground). Steve has been in a few times to do some weeding. Hopefully we'll open within the next month. Cheers, Mark

11.01.2022 This is an update on our work in the context the COVID-19 pandemic. From Monday 6th April, several parts of our organisation will be in stand down for four wee...ks, due to further impacts of the coronavirus pandemic on our organisation. During this time our regional Facebook pages won’t be monitored or replied to. CVA will continue and we are actively working on our immediate and future plans to provide community engagement services that nurture healthy communities and resilient ecosystems across Australia. We look forward to being back out in the community as soon as we are able, and to provide opportunities for people to roll up their sleeves and make a difference. https://conservationvolunteers.com.au//covid-19-update-li/

10.01.2022 Looks like we'll have plenty of propagating to do next week. Lots of our seeds have struck successfully.

09.01.2022 These Poa lab plugs are for the Orange bellied parrot project (OBP). Feels real good when you know your work is contributing to saving an endangered species.

09.01.2022 Day 1 of the Understorey Network plant sale was an overwhelming success with hundreds of people coming through the gates to get Tasmanian native plants for their gardens, local communities and revegetation projects. Thanks to our dedicated team of skilled volunteers who kept things moving smoothly with COVID safe distancing, and shared their expertise in Tasmania’s local plants, provenance and how growing native Tasmanian native plants helps build habitat for our native ...animals. We've got more plants on sale today from now until 2.30. Get down as soon as you can as stocks are limited after Saturday's successful turnout!

08.01.2022 Plant of the week: Acacia longifolia (coast wattle). Lots of wattles available for planting this autumn. Stay tuned for news of our next sale in April.

08.01.2022 Some of our plants have been transferred to larger pots and are for sale at the Glenorchy Tipshop. Fingers crossed the easing of covid restrictions will allow our volunteers back very soon.

04.01.2022 Tomorrow is the big day! It’s our annual fundraising plant sale and we have a variety of Tasmanian understorey plants available for purchase, with all proceeds going to our ongoing running costs. If you’re keen to give your garden a spruce up in time for spring, then come along and our friendly volunteers can help you choose some plants suited to your soil types and environment. **Don’t forget that we can only accept cash payments ** ... Please also remember to bring a bag or box to take your plants home in. We’ll be open from 10:30am to 2:30pm and are located at the back of Tolosa Park; go in through the main gates and follow the signs to the top of the park.
