22.01.2022 Congratulations to Under The Trees Music Festival, recipient of the Arts and Culture Awards at the 2020 Australia Day Awards. The Under the Trees Music Festival... staged at Boyne Island celebrates arts and culture in the Gladstone Region. It presents different genres of art and music for visitors to enjoy in an outdoor setting. Volunteers collect natural and recycled materials to create paintings, bunting, chandeliers and sculptures that decorate the event site. There were 36 art installations at the 2019 event. 12.01.2022 Our massive festival could not be a reality without the ongoing support from our community and those who assist in volunteering both in the days leading up to the event itself, and on the day as well. To all our volunteers who came out and helped on the bar, helped installing artworks, sold tickets on the front gate, erected marquees, moved tables or hay bales, assisted in the merch tent, arrived with trucks and trailers to move stuff from storage to site (and then back again...), and much, much more, you are the soul of our event, and we could not have done it without you. The Under The Trees committee wishes to also extend a massive congratulations to Mellissa Pitt for her efforts as this year's volunteer coordinator. 10.01.2022 Hello Beautiful People! It’s been some time, we hope you are all staying safe in these unprecedented times - as for if we are still going ahead for this years festival, we sure do hope so!

08.01.2022 To all friends, family and followers of Under The Trees, With the start of July, Under The Trees would usually be dropping the first wave of artist announcements, links to tickets, and the like, however with the ongoing complications surrounding Covid-19 in both Australia and the world, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our 2020 event until next year. The committee has been working in the background since early January to put together a fantastic 2020 festival, ...and as the situation progressed globally, we needed to keep an eye on what restrictions we would be facing should the event proceed, if it indeed could proceed. During these times, safety is paramount, and we do not want to compromise the great efforts that everyone has put in to overcome this, and do not wish to expose any greater risk to any of our festival attendees, volunteers, musicians or vendors. Like many other amazing events that happen in the Gladstone region, we are sad to see this event put on pause. For now, we hope that you will continue to stay safe, support local music and artists wherever you possibly can, and we will see you in Boyne Island next year for Under The Trees on 18th of September, 2021.

07.01.2022 Today, we're reminiscing on our festival, and optimistically looking forward to returning on Saturday, the 18th of September 2021. While we can't spend our day with you today, we wish for all our festival goers, volunteers and vendors to remain safe and book us in for next year when we will return to our beautiful home in Boyne Island.
