22.01.2022 Hey all you cool seals and sea lions, We have had several enquiries about the possibility of doing half-trips for Reef Trip 2021, so we thought we should let everyone know what the go is! For those who dont know a half-trip is where you only get to come along for half of the Reef Trip. There are several extra costs associated with this as you must sort out your own transport to or from the island. For the first round of tickets for Reef Trip 2021 preference will go to indi...viduals coming along for the entire Reef Trip. The exception to this will be if youve already found a half trip buddy and have come to the agreeance about who will be on the island when, if this is the case please email us and let us know. If opportunities for half trips come up later, we will offer them up to individuals on the waitlist for Reef Trip first, and then to general club members. If you have any more questions or are interested in a half trip please send us an email at [email protected] . Remember that tickets for Reef Trip 2021 go on sale 6pm May 6th so you should be ready at your computer for that time.

14.01.2022 Sydney dives at Old Man's Hat and Blue Fish Point this Sunday! If you have been waiting for your chance to do some diving with the club this year, or are a little unsure and may need a helping hand getting in the water, then this is what you've been waiting for. Nice easy dives for beginners who are keen to get wet. Easy and also awesome! This is what world renowned Australian diver Bazza (aka The Barnacle) has said about Old Man's Hat, at some point, to someone: "It's bloody... greaaaat mate. Total ripper. Best dive I've eva done. Reckon its one of the best in the world. Just ask me mate Macca" Bazza's dive buddy Macca (aka Bazza's mate) also gives Blue Fish Point rave reviews: "Me mate Jacko came back from Palau goin on an on about the Blue Corner Wall... I said maaate that's not a dive, Blue Fish Point, that's a dive. Just ask Bazza." Clearly these are some epic dives that you want to tick off your bucket list. You can expect Weedy Sea Dragons, Port Jackson sharks, Wobbegong sharks, Octopuses, Puffer fish, uber cool sponges, and probably some blue fish. Get your tickets now!

01.01.2022 Hello UNSW UWC Members! We hope youre all having a lovely long weekend of social distancing. In line with NSW Public Health Orders we have extended the suspension of all club activities until June 30th (when social-distancing restrictions are expected to be lifted). The gear shed will also remain shut until this time. Sadly, this means that our Kalinda Great Barrier Reef Liveaboard, Mt Gambier cave diving course and Solitary Island long weekend trip (plus our Sydney dive wee...kends) wont be going ahead at the current time. Dont worry though, we are looking at rescheduling as many trips as we can when it becomes possible. Whilst diving is currently considered an accepted form of exercise, if you are still diving please make sure your adhering to government restrictions and practising proper social distancing. Keep exercising and well see you in the water as soon as we can. Best, Underwater Club Exec
