16.01.2022 On my very last dive of the trip aboard Deep Sea Divers Den's Taka, my trusty and beloved Oceanic Worldwide BCD of many years broke. As we were booked to go str...aight back out again- this time shooting more promo pics for Mike Ball Dive Expeditions with only a 3-day gap in between trips- I was devastated, wondering how I would solve the BCD issue so quickly. Thank goodness for Oceanic Diving Australia rep Bjorn Nielsen....all it took was one call, and my fab new BC was waiting for me to borrow and test the next day! I was impressed at the excellent service and efficiency, and we got terrific shots modelling with the new one. As you can see here, the replacement BC allowed for a lot more of my signature red suit to shine through, and I like to think even the myriads of fish at Steve's Bommie were impressed! A million thanks Bjorn- you saved the day- and the dives! <3 See more

03.01.2022 Wow! Look what greeted me this morning! I am thrilled to be the "poster girl" together with Heron Island's resident green turtle for this new WWF campaign! The message is one I am proud to promote- donate to WWF and help save our sea turtles and all our marine wildlife friends, so that one day you, too can come diving with these gentle creatures. Bob Halstead once again knows how to capture a great image, and together we are thrilled to see his images used for helping our friends "Down Under" (in the ocean....that is! )

01.01.2022 Before I met UW Photographer and Author Bob Halstead, I always knew there was a special world beneath the sea just waiting to explore, but snorkeling had been ...my limit. Not only did he teach me to dive (I was his last student....wonder why he retired after me? :) ) but he introduced me to a whole new experience: underwater modelling. I had no idea such a vocation existed. Now, whenever we are out on "assignments" I am so excited to get in the water and see what possibilities arise for great pics. I love the teamwork and partnership involved, as our work as photographer and model makes us tune in to our own "buddy system" . We often compare the interaction to that of a String Quartet- all four elements- the environment, the critter, the photographer's eye and the model have to come into perfect harmony to produce a great shot. Here are a couple of "behind the scenes" as we are lining up for the Cod Hole pics. Thanks to Julia Sumerling for the candids!
