04.01.2022 Can 100% confirm PESA standards at Singleton have been lowered this year from 15km pack March with 45kg pack weight to 10km pack March with 25kg pack weight. Can 100% also confirm females were able to withdraw from the rifleman IET course at any time as a condition of service, compared to men who must complete their 4 year minimum and could apply for a corps transfer but it wouldn’t go through before the end of the IET course. Can 100% confirm female infantry ROSO is 2 Years ...compared to males 4 years, which means they will receive an ADM after serving half the time of males in the same role. Finally, can 100% confirm that as an instructor I was told not to legitimately backsquad IETs on grounds of poor performance due to a mandatory number of people required to march out of the school by the end of the year, with the reasoning that they would be further trained in the unit. Although my trainees were not involved, this occurred only a few months prior to a fresh march in to 5RAR in Darwin being sadly killed in a live fire training exercise. Regardless of gender, standards have been lowered for a combat role where lives are kept or lost based on the soldier being in their highest level of physical conditioning on operations. Regardless of gender, exceptions are being made. Regardless of gender, free passes are being given in the name of bureaucracy and diversity. I loved being an Infantry Section Commander in the Army. I left because Army Leadership priorities made my job completely impossible to do properly. From one disgruntled veteran to the entire politically motivated Defence Leadership Element: Take your diversity push and fuck off to a career where people’s lives aren’t at stake. -M (All credit to Lt Gabgab’s for related image)
